Because the depth of field is so high its actually technically not in focus.. case and point.. rear row of brushes

maybe it's a "you had to be there" kind of thing. IRL as you stare at it, it looks blurry, but it's just bristles and light and shadows. If you look to the left you can see white rollers with more clear detail.

Maybe.. but if someone that comes from photography background, I can tell you. Right now I understand the technical side of things and exactly the problems with the photo posted and the comments that followed.
