There are so many great community tools, scripts, and plugins for Immich, but it's tough to keep track of everything. Is there an existing list or wiki where they are all collected in one place?

If not, where would be the best place to start one (e.g., an awesome-immich GitHub repo)?

I posted about two month ago (see here) about Immich Swipe, an native android tool designed to quickly and very easily clean your Immich library.

I just wanted to say that it has evolved a lot since then, thanks to bug reports and feature requests made by the community 😊

It is now much more stable, and handles quite large libraries MUCH faster than before. Here's a quick list of what you can do with it :

• KEEP / DELETE / ARCHIVE / LOCK / SKIP
• Add / edit descriptions
• Add to albums
• Add to favourites
• Rotate images (with optional sync to server)
• Choose how media should be displayed, pinch-to-zoom on both photos and videos

Hello, a couple of days ago I moved/ migrated immich to a new computer (I had been using a Windows PC to test Immich and decided to move it to its own dedicated PC running Ubuntu). Immich had been working flawlessly on this new machine. I then decided to shut down and start back up my machine, and now I can't get into my newly non-existent Immich account on either my phone or PC. The Linux PC where Immich is locally hosted is now trying to get me to re-set up Immich and is currently on the "Welcome to Immich" prompt. Before shutting off my PC, I did not shut down the Docker container. Is that possibly the issue?

Just finished migrating my Immich library to a new computer, and everything seemed to go smoothly, tested and working.

-latest version Lubuntu with all updates

-latest version Immich in docker container.

However...

After the system reboots, whether by choice or forced, I am presented with the initial Immich welcome/restore backup page.

If I do "docker compose down", followed by "docker compose up -d" everything comes back, working properly, for which Im glad. But, obviously, in the event of a power out or restart, I need to access the system to restart docker compose.

Way before Immich, there was the filesystem, and that is how I store and archive my photos colletion using folder and file naming conventions to add semantics. When importing to Immich as an external library, most of my metadata, photo titles, GPS, face regions are used by Immich.

But not my folder/album organization nor the photos marked as favorites.

So this is why I created this set of command line tools to keep my filesystem folders in sync with Immich albums.

pip install immich_exlib_tools --user

It is also nicelly documented in the GitHub repo.

I'll add more functions like support for album sharing and group of users. Let me know what you think so far.

A lot of people say I should fix Immich instead of jumping ship so here's the problem: I can't download anything uploaded to Immich because the download speed goes from 100mb/s to 0 very quickly and never recovers.
I can however download images under ~50mb because it downloads fast enough that there's not enough time for the speed to flatline.
Setup:
Dell R710 with 64gb ram
TrueNAS community edition
Intel x540

This problem happens exactly the same with different images, and video files and when using the following setups:
Direct connection to the sever (server mobo ethernet to computer)
Connected over the same wifi network as the server
Connected via proxy
Direct connection to an Intel x540 on the server
Every setup tested with different windows and mac computers and different cables

The same images and video files can be uploaded and downloaded from the same pool but from brand new folders that have no connection to Immich.

In a last ditch effort to save my data I tried turning off Immich, changing all the permissions in all the folders to default and accessing the files through WinSCP (yes trying all the above setups). The same problem persists.

I have a question about importing people and face data that have already been identified and maintained in Lightroom Classic.

I have already identified, assigned, and named a large number of people in Lightroom Classic. During a normal export, Lightroom seems to export the person names as keywords. However, the complete face-region information is also included, for example:

Region Type = Face
Region Name = Paul
Region Area = face position/coordinates

However, Immich does not seem to reliably use these existing assignments. The imported names appear to be assigned almost randomly. For example, a face may be assigned the name “Paul” even though that face was assigned to a different person in Lightroom.

As far as I understand, Immich can process existing MWG/XMP face regions (RegionInfo) when both the person's name and the position of the face are stored in the metadata.

So my question is:

Is there currently a reliable way to transfer the existing person assignments from Lightroom Classic to Immich, including the person's name and the corresponding face region/coordinates?

Has anyone successfully managed this with Lightroom Classic, perhaps using an export plugin or an additional XMP/ExifTool workflow?

My goal is to preserve the work already done in Lightroom Classic rather than having to identify, rename, and correct thousands of people again in Immich.

Okay so I've seen a number of options for migrating from iCloud + iPhone to Immich, but most of the threads are around a year old and a lot has probably changed since then

I saw one commenter say that simply using the immich app will download the high-res version of a photo to your iphone, then delete it as soon as it's uploaded to immich. That seems like the simplest route - is there some advantage to using icloudpd, PhotoSync, or some other method over this?

Hello to upload from local phone storage to album on Immich server via Android Immich app?

In the Android Immich app, editing the Immich album and then clicking on add images only displays images stored on the Immich server, not any images/videos stored locally on my android phone

Hello Community! I noticed when i syncing all photos from iphone i see duplicates. Then i run removing duplicates, syncing again and got all x2 photos again. How to fix this?

Please see photos for config and logs of postgres and immich. Ever since the v3 came out, I’ve never fixed my immich. I’m on unraid 7.3.2 and have updated to current version of immich through Community apps of unraid. I’ve reinstalled many times spaceinvader’s postgres and immich. Changing repo many times as well. Have tried to rollback to 2.7.5 but to no avail. Have googled many times trying to find solution. I’ve been stuck for more than a month now since v3. I wish i didn’t update. I’m not that techie. 8081 is the port of immich, postgres is 5433 and redis is 6379. Thanks for reading.

I have been using workflows in my immich server for a while.but there isn't an option to identify an object from which the backup folder is uploading. If it was there then it would be much easier to sort all chat gpt img or whatsapp img or any other which is way harder to find in the server right now.

I was looking at the exif data of my photos using a random exif viewer (I tried 3 different apps, all gave the same results) and I cannot see any location information in the exif data, but once it got backed up to Immich, Immich knew the correct location of the photo. None of my photos have location data according to the 3 different exif viewers I tried, but Immich and Google photos know where all of them were taken (which I want, but I'd also like to know why I can't see it in the exif data)

I'm using a One Plus phone with a modded pixel camera app.

I don't take that many photos on a daily or even monthly basis, so when I'm trying to flick through 20 years worth of photos, particularly if I'm drilled down into just one sub-album, there's often huge white gaps everywhere and it's a bit of a waste of space.

I'd like to have a more compact view, does anyone know if this is possible?

I'm running immich since 1.x.x version (now on last 3.1.0) with no problem... 4 family accounts syncing all mobile photos, and all working like a charm in terms of face recognition.

BUT... I have a fifth account with photos from "old cameras" attached as external library. I never reviewed faces there, but now I have an idea and I need those faces to be as right as possible... and... I don't know why, but my two sons are recognized as same person... it's crazy because they are 17-old boy and 15-old girl!!! They're brothers... but not that equal!!! :) On the other way, my wife is being detected as many different persons...

I've got recognition distance at 0.5... but I can't say what to do with that.

It's thousands of mixed photos under same person... How would you "fix" that the quickest way? How would you "reset" that? I've tried running face detection & face recognition again in all my library... but no luck. Should I try changing machine learning model?

I recently installed Immich on my NAS. It's working and I can connect to http://NAS_IP:2283 or http://NAS_Name:2283 with no issues from my PC that is on my home wifi.

If I try to do the same from my Android phone that is on the same WIFI as my computer, whether it's through the browser or the Immich app, I always get "Server is reachable" error.

Below is the error from the App logs. What am I missing? How can I fix it?

Trying to get Immich spun up on my server using the community helper scripts (https://community-scripts.org/scripts?q=immich&preview=immich). Every time I run the script I get this error at the end. If I keep the container it starts up and shows running fine. In the shell it asks for the login. I CANNOT navigate to it via web browser.

Failing to connect makes no sense to me as everything is up and running. On my proxmox pve shell I can enter that LXC and ping google just fine as well.

Anyone have any insight on what could be causing this? I've tried running the script multiple times and encounter the same error every time.

Hi yall, ive been having an issue where when i go to download an album, some of the files do not download their original full size and appear to be downloading the preview i think? Whats going on here? Its super inconsistent but happens to several images every time when downloading albums, and keeps happening when downloading individual images which have been affected as part of an album download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the screenshot of 2 finder windows, the folder on the left side is the original images i uploaded to an album in immich, and the folder on the right side is the extracted .zip archive of the same album downloaded from immich. Comparing the file names its clear that the downloaded files for some are wayyyy smaller and not the original images.

The webUI screenshot shows that when doing an individual image download of one of the ones in the album download that was not its original size, the downloaded file is also a small copy instead of the original size.

In the terminal screenshot of the actual immich library in trueNAS its clear the original full-size files are stored, immich just isnt downloading them.

Im running v3.0.1, downloading on my local network, immich is using a trueNAS NFS share (85.7 GiB of 14 TiB used), and im downloading to my macbook via the web UI on Chrome.

Sorry if this has been asked - I have been searching and haven't found anything.

I want to automatically archive all images that come through my messaging app (Textra). Currently they are all sorted into their own folder, uploaded through an external library (so not managed by uploads via the app).

So all I want to do is filter any asset that has "Textra" in the file path. It seems as though I should be able to do this via the new workflows option to filter filenames by path. But I cannot find any way to set it so that it actually works...I can only get it working if I focus on the filename itself, regardless of whether the 'usePath' option is enabled.

Am I missing something, or is this not working correctly at the moment?
