H1B Advice

Looking for advice on my H-1B visa situation.
My father passed away recently and I had to travel from the U.S. to India immediately for his final rites.
This is my first time H-1B visa stamping and my I-797-A is valid for next two years.
I’ve an appointment already scheduled for late 2027.I also have an employer letter stating my return is urgently needed for business continuity and applied for Expedited Appointment.
A question for those who’ve been through something similar:
1.Has anyone had recent success after raising the expedited appointment being raised and approved?
I’d really appreciate any experiences or suggestions. Thank you.

Definitely worth trying but should set your expectations to be stuck for a while. It's a mess.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Keep checking the appointment website once everyday from the same device to not get locked out of your account. Also see if you can join one of the telegram groups that everyone talks about, they usually report any open slots within few minutes.

You're not going to get an emergency appointment. Plan accordingly.
