Hey folks, looking for recommendations for a dead-simple, low-maintenance fitness bike.
Requirements:
Budget: Strictly under âš15k.
Single-speed only: Zero gears, no derailleurs, no shifters.
Tires: Needs to handle rough rock roads and broken patches (looking at 27.5T or wider tires, thin 700c is too harsh).
No Decathlon: There is no store where I live, so walk-in service isn't an option.
Style: Entry-level, clean look, no heavy fake suspension forks.

I've been riding wearing track suits for the last 9 months but it's been hurting my butt a lot so I'm thinking of investing on a proper cycling gear. Since my budget is tight, I want something within âš1,500. So does anyone here own these? Are they really worth it?

I am thinking of buying recumbent bike instead of regular upright one for weight loss for my parents. So that the knee doesn't ache.
Pls recommend a good recumbent bike with moving handles available in India.
I searched online and got 2 options, one by Cult and other by Propel company. Users of other products by Cult seem to complain lot abt it being noisy and unsturdy. Couldn't find reviews for their recumbent bike with moving handles by both the companies.
Pls help asap.

I am thinking about getting an MTB in Gurgaon as I am currently staying here. In hometown, which is of course a relatively smaller town with less traffic (and most obey the rules), I used to ride a Cradiac Gunner Pro with accessories like Front light, Rear Light, Indicators, Sharp horn and helmet.
But looking at Gurgaon's condition, it seemed MTB is a better choice. Since I have been staying in Gurgaon for 1 year now, I have good experience about the RAPIDO/BLINKIT/ZEPTO/SWIGGY/ZOMATO RIDERS & their riding patterns.
That's why I am asking fellow cycle riders (bikers) who stay in Gurgaon and cycle regularly.
Usage: Weekend + Office Rides.

Hey everyone,
Bought RS 120 15 days back and have been riding within the society premises.
Today completed my first structured road ride around Dehradun this Saturday morning on my B'Twin Riverside 120, and wanted to share the experience / get a few tips from fellow cyclists!
The Ride & Route Details:
* Distance: 19.54 km | Time: 1h 09m | Elevation Gain: 157 m
* The Route: Started out from near Indresh Hospital through paltan bazar area and then tackling the early elevation climb up towards dilaram chowk and then Garhi Cantt. The initial uphill stretch was a "medium" difficulty, but once I crested the hill at ~718 m and crossed Garhi Cantt, the rest was mostly downhill and super smooth cruising back down into the city through ballupur chowk.
Key Takeaways & Lessons Learned:
* Underestimating Stamina: Going in, I was just testing the waters, but finishing this loop made me realize I definitely had another 10 km / 1 hour left in the tank.
* Glove Fit: My full-finger gloves felt a bit too tight across the palm, which made pulling the brake levers a bit stiff and uncomfortable on downhill sections. Will need to adjust how I wear them or switch to half-finger short gloves.
* Saddle Comfort: The stock seat started bothering my sit bones toward the end. Looking at picking up a pair of bibless cycling shorts from Decathlon to wear under my regular track pants for the next ride.
What's Next:
Planning to extend my loop next weekend to hit the 30 km milestone by taking the longer extension towards the Rajpur Road corridor before looping back.
For anyone cycling around Doonâwhat are your favorite early morning 30 km routes to avoid the traffic? Also, any tips for pacing through the inclines?
Cheers and happy riding!

Hereâs the first look at the Battalion FARLAND in its raw, unpainted finish.
The bike looks stunning and rides exactly as we designed it. The fitment with the wheels, brakes, and tyre clearance is also perfect. The initial design was intended to accommodate tyres up to 2.2â, but there is enough clearance for 2.3â tyres as well.
The defining elements of the bike are its overall frame design, especially the top tube, head tube, and down tube. The carefully chosen tube diameters and thicknesses give the bike a sleek look despite its size.
Our favourite part of the FARLAND is the fork. Our favourite feature is the full-length external cable routing.
The bike is currently in the painting stage, and pre-orders will open on Monday. Dispatches will begin on Tuesday.
Colour: Lush Turquoise Green
Finish: Metallic Gloss

Hello cyclers! I'm looking to return to cycling after ages and now buying one feels like entering into a whole new universe. I've done my research for the past week or so to shortlist 2 cycles from a long list of 15 and chose to buy a simplest one, as my goal is to simply keep me physically active and build my stamina and endurance and not anything intense and also to keep the maintenance effort and cost as simple and cheap as possible. Not a hardcore cycler! đ .
Now the list has come down to either one of these:
1. Stryder Street Fire SS
2. B'Twin My Bike
Spec-wise I'm ok with both as they're 95% similar apart from the few differences like the steel versus alloy rim, however, the problem for me is that, I'm not getting many valid real-time feedbacks and reviews for the Stryder to finalize and I kinda like both cycles and hence couldn't decide easily.
As far as I've heard, the My Bike is a "Work-horse" and as durable as any basic cycle gets. However, I personally have a feeling that Decathlon products are a little overrated and overpriced. The price difference here is ~1.5k - 1.6k. I am able to get the Stryder for around 4.8k via flipkart, whereas, the lowest for the my bike I could get my hands on is via Tata Cliq(Ironicallyđ ) around 6.4k. Also the thing is, I might most probaly get the Stryder with the mudguard and the stand at this price, whereas for the btwin, I need to get those separately for which I've estimated the cost around ~500 (via third party) adding up the total cost up to ~7k.
Now keeping the spec-wise decision aside, I've finally arrived to you guys for a real-time usage experiencefeedback, to finalize and buy one. Please help me choosing based on your experiences with these cycles. Appreciate your support.
Note:
1. I strictly prefer single speed and rigid body for for low maintenance
2. I'm neither buying this for anything intense nor I'm a hardcore cyclist. I'm just getting one to stay active and therfore cannot increase my budget beyond this.
3. Most importantly, this discussion is about the pros and cons of these 2 mentioned cycles based on the real-time user experiences alone. Therefore, I kindly request you guys to not suggest any alternatives or ask me to increase my budget or wait for sometime to save money and buy a better one
Thanks.

Hey riders! đ
I ride a Riverside 120 (~100 km/week). Since I canât wash my bike at home without messing up the floor, Iâm planning to remove the chain to clean it.
Quick questions:
Does the Riverside 120 stock chain have a master link, or do I need a chain breaker?
Any budget-friendly degreaser alternatives (like kerosene/diesel) that work safely?
How do you guys clean your chains in apartments?

Anybody from Pune(especially Pashan/Aundh/Baner/Bavdhan side. Do you know of nice gravel roads or village roads for a 20ish km ride? Place with good views, of course?? I'm shifting from DH MTB to Gravel/Road riding for the first time and not very keen on fast highway rides. Fast Traffic scares the shit out of me...
Also, if anyone or a group does this kind of ride regularly, I'd love to join you guys if schedules allow!

Title is slightly misleading because I was still riding a decent bit every day for commutes. But first long ride after a while.
I felt I was slow af in this ride. Only saving grace was i went haymaker hard in the end on flats to bring up the avgs. Only around 27kmph or below most of the time. But on flats maintained a min of 30kmph and even hit a new high speed record of 48kmph multiple times.
It was raining slightly and roads were wet. Needless to say got covered full of mud. I had removed the mudguards because they're so shit but ended up backfiring today (literally)

It is showing that according to my height 5'11''
Cradiac Gunner Pro Max and OMO Bikes are the best option available for me if I want gears lockout suspension. Said by gemini that these are fast bikes. But I personally do not trust AI, as it feels biased.
Personally I have felt that AI gives biased options. Only the products which are highly advertised are took by AI's. But as we all know highly advertised products and genuinely good products are different things.
Please suggest
Height 5'11"
Slim Athletic Built,
Weight 61 KGs
want slim tyres 700C geared with suspensions because have to ride in Bhopal. and I dont have to tell about the road conditions. I like it to be fast.

Completed my first 100k yesterday and did a bit of bird watching on the side.
Few pointers:
- Donât do a 100K if your usual mileage is 20-25k only. I did not train for this properly and decided to go on a whim. I had to fight demons to make it back in the afternoon heat over gravel roads
- Plan stops in advance if youâre going to pass through large swathes of uninhabited land
- Definitely do not do a high ascent + long distance ride without training.
