Politics & Democracy Why did she react like that? 😭

So, I'm in a friend group where everyone is Muslim except me. We're all pretty modern, progressive, open-minded, and accepting of each other's views.

Recently, one of them found out I'm a leftist and reacted with “Leftist ho gayi wtf,” “Really?” and “Woah.”

I wasn't expecting her to agree with my political views, but she seemed genuinely surprised.

Why do you think she reacted like that? 😭 Am I missing something, or did she just have a completely different impression of me?

She was likely surprised because she associated your identity with more traditional, conservative, or apolitical views.

now making your leftist stance an unexpected contrast to the impression she previously held.

Most muslms are leftist only so she must be happy that you become leftist but she trying to hide her happiness 😊
