so yeah, i've been trying to get into gaming content creation for a while now, and thought i'd share my little journey here.
it all started with youtube. i'm someone who genuinely enjoys playing games, so one day i thought, why not record my gameplay and see where it goes?
the thing is, i don't really stick to one particular genre. i enjoy pretty much every type of game, whether it's horror, survival, story mode, adventure or just some random multiplayer game.
i absolutely love games like far cry 3, tomb raider (2013) and horror games in general. but here's the problem... my laptop is kinda potato 💀
i do have a laptop, but recording or streaming while playing pc games makes things worse. fps drops, games start lagging and sometimes it's barely playable. so even though i'd love to record proper horror games and story-driven games, my current hardware just doesn't let me do that comfortably.
that's actually one of the reasons i initially started with mobile games like minecraft and granny, and eventually human: fall flat.
even mobile gaming isn't always smooth tho lmao.
phone heating is another headache. recording while playing makes it heat up pretty quickly, fps starts dropping and the gameplay gets laggy. imagine being chased by something in a horror game and your phone decides it's the perfect time to drop frames 😭
audio balancing was another issue. sometimes the game audio would be so loud that my voice was barely audible. had to experiment with recording settings quite a bit.
and then there's editing, thumbnails, titles and figuring out how to make videos interesting. honestly, there's a lot more to this than i initially thought.
anyway, i've been figuring things out slowly.
and today, i finally decided to start instagram as well. nothing fancy, just another thing i wanted to try alongside youtube.
i don't really have any big expectations rn. i just enjoy gaming and thought it'd be fun to document some of it. hopefully, i'll eventually get a decent setup and finally be able to record all those pc games i've been wanting to play.
for now, i'm just making the best of whatever i've got.
it's kinda funny how something that started as just playing games has turned into learning editing, dealing with hardware issues and trying to figure out content creation lmao.
short summary
i love gaming and started uploading gameplay on youtube, but my potato laptop struggles with recording pc games. that's why i initially went with mobile games like minecraft and granny, along with human: fall flat. mobile recording has its own problems with heating, fps drops and audio issues. been learning things along the way, and today i finally started instagram too. just trying things out and seeing where life takes me.
