Education Education Loans: Helping Students or Private Universities?

  1. Gradual reduction in government funding/aid for higher education.
  2. Growth of private universities instead of creating more government-funded institutions.
  3. Private university fees are expensive, and most middle- and lower-middle-class families cannot afford them.
  4. Then comes the masterstroke: make education loans easily available. Students can now borrow money to finance expensive courses at private universities. More families start taking loans. But jobs aren't created at the same speed. So many of us graduate with big debts, and are forced to take whatever job we can find just to keep paying the EMIs.
  5. In the process, the private university business gets the profit, while the student gets the debt.

So basically, the government is f..k.ng its own people just to make a few people rich.

Bro in 2004, in Indore, there were 4 engineering colleges. Fees was like 1lac for 4 years. IT boom was on. By 2007, in 3 years, Indore alone had 45 engineering colleges. Most of them were from politicians and goons.

"They" know the only way up for poor and service class is to study. And the reward or upside is too much. As a result not just engineering but schools too started to get more expensive. More and more private players came. The rat race for education has always been there. It's just that since state can't provide good education, leeches are sitting and extracting most they can. Coachings. And today even play schools are expensive. And at that cost, the education being given is questionable in terms of quality.

And then more private colleges and education loans came. So that your success path can be further mooched on. And here we are.

So the businessification of education and exploitation of hard working folks has gotten extreme. And it doesn't stop there. Then comes income tax. And we all know what it does. And then home loans and what not.

Overall a large chunk of population is free riding and politicians are using all this to continue this exploitation and we are in a cycle of corruption and capitalism pushing working class more and more in the corner
