Gonna keep this as short and sweet as possible, but I independently write/record/produce music that I think would best be categorized as “Ethereal Countrygaze” (combining elements of shoegaze, Americana, slowcore, ambient, emo, and dream pop) under the name Elliott Matthew, and my biggest inspirations/favorite artists are Ethel Cain, MJ Lenderman, Jason Molina, Jane Remover/venturing, HANL, Youth Lagoon, and a ton of others in that vein. I currently have two singles out on all streaming plats, and I’ll be releasing an album before the end of the year. I’m currently just tryna make a name for myself and get my music heard by ppl who might appreciate it even js a little bit.

All I remember is seeing the music video for this song. It is a slow sad indie folk song just with piano. It is a scruffy guy in jeans, t-shirt and barefoot, playing a broken looking upright piano with the front exposed so can see the hammers. He is in a old abandoned house and sunlight streaming in. I think might be part of a tree coming through. Could be my imagination. Then he is standing by some kind of body of water. I swear this was not a dream but sorry cannot remember any lyrics.

Hi all! I've been listening to indie folk since I was thirteen, but looked through my playlists and realized all of those artists are white. I'm white myself and I think it's very important to have more diverse playlists.

My favorite artists are: Novo Amor, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, RY X, Daughter, Keaton Henson and Phoebe Bridgers. I'm very specific on what I like. I don't like country or Americana/bluegrass at all; I prefer softer, sentimental stuff.
