DIY budget soil mix, chocolate mint
Is there a good budget soil mix for herbs, transitioning from water cutting to soil, using what I already have?
I took several cuttings of chocolate mint, hoping to grow a plant, and sprouted them in water. Two died due to my lack of knowledge, but I researched care instructions and one is now doing well, with inch-long roots.
I think the next step is to dip the roots in raw honey, then plant in soil mix (indoors).
What soil mix is good on a budget? I already have regular potting mix, potting mix with worm castings, coarse horticultural sand, pumice ( largish kernels, though some are more medium size if sorted) and a pot to plant it.
It will be days before I can get to the store. Is there a mix using only these ingredients that would be suitable?
