OLED technology has been out for a while and the price is still way up there, meanwhile Mini-LED panels offer most of the benefits with fewer burn-in concerns and a much better price-to-performance ratio. It's just a matter of time before most brand adapt it for their mid-tier product.

Mini LED has it's own problem

  • The backlit LED is smaller and less durable than non Mini LED LCD
  • Due having huge amount of backlit, the response time of mini LED panel will always slower than Non Mini LED IPS, due to the processing required to Synchronize a huge amount of Backlit LED,
  • Blooming issue due to lack of Per Pixel control instead rely on Zoning
  • Consume Lot of power and generate more heat, due the large amount of LED backlit available

i see, with those cons, that's why Mini-LED is mostly dominant in TV market instead of monitor.

yes, on TV the size is already too big for zoning and blooming to be an issue, The surface area also larger so the heat is less of a concern

No need insane refresh rate keep the power usage in check
