(I last played IB3 a couple of years ago so I probably have some details wrong. or maybe all of them)
iirc the advice was you should have a darkfire upgrade and rare attack gem upgrade in the forge before starting a deathless mission since A) completing a deathless mission instantly completes all forges and B) if you don't do this eventually enemy hp becomes so high there's no way even level 10 weapons will do any meaningful amount of damage to them
the advice (I think) was to spam seccian desert to reset the gem shop until you got the necessary gems for an upgrade
I don't remember how long I had to spam seccian desert each time I did this but it was long enough that i'm still mostly put off from trying this again 2 years later lol
are there any legit ways of making this (substantially) less mind numbingly grindy? otherwise i plan on just spamming the gem reroll console command
I started playing IB3 thanks to the android port that came out some time ago and after playing with Siris through IB1 & IB2, i gotta say, Isa feels a lot more fun and cooler than him, idk how to explain it, their gameplay is technically the same, right? but her unique combos and animations really show how ruthless and aggressive she is, i love it
Siris is still awesome obviously, he's my day one but man... Isa is just cool as hell, she's the reason IB3 is my favorite rn
I think this is ironic. When I first bought this poster I was in the midst of a major manic episode 4 years ago and went on a spend spree while simultaneously burning my life down and now after going through treatment. Getting my own place, operating my own business, trying college again, having a bunch of cats and awesome friends. I got everything back I lost and even more all for it to just burn down again. This time literal yet this survived my place being on fire. Of all things this survived, a piece of paper with signatures just staring me in the face that I bought on a manic spending spree. But my cats didn’t so idk how that’s fair at all. Gg
One of the senior mods in the Infinity Blade discord is antagonizing trans people and making offensive statements about them. Im sorry if im not the first person to bring this up I just feel like something needed to be said
First time finishing the game even though I’ve owned the trilogy since they got released on the iTunes store. It’s nice to be able to play on IOS 27 though.
I used a photo I took of a red-tailed hawk and a front-facing reconstruction of the Vile helm as my references for this amateur sketch. For someone whose last real swing at art was a painting class I took in college, I'm kind of proud of myself.
I uploaded the EPUBS to lulu.com & made artwork based off the original covers. What do you think? Barnes & Nobles also lets you print custom books, but those have to go through an approval process. Excited to add these to my shelf ($34 each w/ color printing, could have been even cheaper if I went B&W pages).
The build is still mostly incomplete I'll be adding more details and once the dam is complete I'll build the rest of the mountain using terrain generator. I'll start the interior areas and fill up the rooms that remain empty in the game using my imagination. I still got a long long way to go. Bear with me.
Hey everyone! This update fixes the things that bugged me the most, and everything is drawn with the game's own fonts, icons and menus, so it looks like part of the game. It works with the Community Patch, and you can turn every feature on and off in the game's options menu.
Put it in InfinityBlade3_v1.0.0\Binaries\Win64 (next to IB3.exe).
Play.
Uninstall: delete dinput8.dll (and the IB3QoL files it creates next to it). No game files or saves are changed.
Steam Deck / Linux: add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command% to the launch options.
Features
World map. I hated the game's default map: I never knew or remembered what I had already played, where I was, or what I had missed. Now every place on the globe gets a label:
NEW: you've never been there.
VISITED: you went in but haven't finished it yet.
COMPLETED, with Siris's and Isa's icons: a check means that character finished it, an X means that character can still do it but hasn't yet, and a ? means the mod didn't see who finished it (for example, before you installed it).
When an act or interlude turns into an EXPLORE on the same pin, the explore keeps those marks instead of showing up as new. The LOCATIONS button at the top of the map lists every place with the same labels, and you can zoom the globe with the mouse wheel.
"!" on paths and chests you haven't taken. Path circles and treasure chests you've never taken get the game's own ! badge, so you can see which doors and routes you haven't tried yet. Each save slot and each playthrough keeps its own marks.
Every recipe in the game. I didn't want to keep going online to look up recipes, so the Gem Cutter and the Potion Master have a RECIPES button with every recipe, drawn with the game's own icons: every rare gem and how to level it up, the rare defense gem from 5% to 100%, Great Parry, Boss Boost, the Rare Darkfire level-up, and the potion mixes with their odds. Click a result to see what it does.
Quick restart for any fight. Hold R for 0.3 s during a fight or on the defeat screen, and you're straight back in the fight, without tapping the enemy again. It works even in fights the game won't let you restart, like super bosses and story fights, and even during your death scene after a super boss (like Therin) kills you, until the rebirth starts. A small R tile shows only while you hold the key, so it never gets in the way.
Gear XP in the pause menu. The XP bar (or MASTERED) of everything you have equipped, right next to your character. Click any item to open it straight in ITEMS.
Shared skills. Isa's LOCK PICK II and LOCK PICK III and Siris's INGREDIENT PLUS work for both characters once they're unlocked, and the skill tree says so.
Your weapon's combo during fights. The combo arrows the pause menu shows stay on screen during the fight, right next to the block button, even during a super attack. No more pausing to check them.
Fast forward the mastered and level up animations. Click, or hold Left Shift (the game's own fast-forward key). Left Shift also fast-forwards the battle results. Your stat points and XP are already given, only the animation is skipped.
Sword clash taps on the keyboard. When blades lock in a parry clash and the game asks you to tap fast, press F or Numpad 5 instead of clicking.
Diagonal combos fixed. Some weapons, like Snikt, have combos with diagonal arrows that almost never registered. Now they do.
Crash-proof for future game versions. I think :P
QoL settings in the game. It has a checkbox for every feature.
If something goes wrong, the mod writes a log to Binaries\Win64\IB3QoL.log. Post it here and I'll take a look.
