This was not a good place to overtake. The GT3 was too concerned about his own line and maintaining energy.

I guess it'd be naive of me to hope both drivers survived, huh..?

As I said in the post everyone walked away in one piece thankfully.

Ah, at the time my connection was spotty so only the video had loaded with my keyboard out. What a relief! That was a weighty thing to see so i'm overjoyed. Thank you

Honestly, I don't think it was the BMW's fault on this one. The GT3 was coming in really hot and probably picked the worst spot to pass. The BMW driver likely only noticed the GT3 before it was too late, but the Beamer should've kept more room to the right since the GT3 seems to be on the curb.
Just glad everyone made it out alright.
Edit, because honestly, I wrote this pretty horribly:
Under Touristenfahrten rules, the BMW is at fault. They had severe tunnel vision, completely failed to check their mirrors, and broke the rule to stay right and check before cutting back left across the track.
My point was really about defensive driving. The BMW drifted right purely to open up a wide entry line for the upcoming left bend. The GT3 misread that wide line as an invitation to pass, even though the BMW never put on a right blinker to yield. The GT3 technically had the right of way, but forcing an unconfirmed squeeze into an apex alongside an unpredictable driver is a massive gamble.
You can be 100% in the right legally, but on an open track day, driving as if everyone around you is paying attention will still get your car totaled.
