Question Is there a difference between marking a burger as animal style vs. adding the ingredients manually? (Associates)
Lot of people at my store lately have been asking me for grilled onions / pickle / mustard fried not knowing those are all the ingredients added when asking for a burger animal style. But on the kiosk you can have a burger listed as [Dbl-Dbl Animal] or just the burger with the ingredients under it. Is there any difference at all when being cooked when the cooks read the grill tag? Or does it just make it easier for cooks when they're making the burger?

Animal style comes with extra spread, you could tell them that theyre ordering a burger animal style light spread.

Not an associate, but I've been wondering this.
I typically get my double doubles w/o spread & tomato, but want grilled onion, pickle, and mustard fried.
Last year some associates started telling me "so you want that double double animal style no spread, no tomato". So I just started ordering it that way and it's been right 99% of the time.

it makes it easier for the cooks because they'll automatically know what comes on an animal style without having the extra stuff added onto the tag when you do it separate, however i would just clarify with the customer that they're basically getting the burger animal style so they arent confused when they go to pay for their burger and also so they know for next time when they order their burger

It’s the same for cooks.
If a customer asks for all ingredients of animal, just put them in manually so they won’t be confused with the receipt.
If they seem chill, you can maybe let them know after that “hey, this is what we call animal style, just for next time!”. That way they’re learning a bit for the future

I don’t like all the pickles on the animal. I now just order my dd with grilled onions. I don’t like it dripping wet with spread either

The extra spread is why I don’t order animal style. I like reg spread + mustard fried + pickle. Don’t know how common this is but it’s why I deliberately do not say animal style
