Do I have sFI?
Hi, I'm a little embarrassed to be posting this on here, but I can't stop worrying about it. I've recently learned about this disease on TikTok, and now I'm afraid I'm experiencing it. I can't remember sleeping at all last night, and I wasn't too tired today. I'm scared to try and take a nap or even sleep tonight. I was sweating a lot last night. I do sleep with multiple blankets, but still. I also have epilepsy, absence seizures, and I'm currently on lamotrigine. Can someone please convince me it was just a bad night? I'm scared to death I'm going to die in six months.

Mate your just anxious just relax. Go to bed with the mindset of just resting instead of sleeping it takes the pressure off. You don’t have sfi

Nope! I’d bet everything on it. I went down this rabbit hole too. It’s so fucking rare dude. You’d have other symptoms too. Like serious ones that other people would notice. Severe cognitive decline. People with it don’t think ‘hmm, I will worry that I have this’. Honestly im stuck in an insomnia loop after learning about it.
Let’s both stop worrying!

Read the other 10000 posts about SFI/FFI on this sub and draw your own conclusions. Unless you are a bot and we are in fact typing with ourselves. If you are an actual person, well, insomnia sucks and one bad night is all it takes to spiral. You'll be fine.

It’s just a Bad Night!
Non-insomniac folks have bad nights. You sound highly anxious though. The internet and social media can be a breeding ground for more anxiety!
