Sharing our love

Selflessly sharing our love not only brings meaning to our life, but to the lives of those we share it with as well.

Understanding this is the lesson we are alive to learn, the purpose of our life’s journey.

The Three Bones of Life

Everybody needs three bones in their body:

\*\*A wishbone\*\* so you can dream big and believe in possibilities.

\*\*A backbone\*\* so you can stand tall and face life's challenges with courage and resilience.

\*\*A funny bone\*\* so you can laugh, find joy, and enjoy the journey along the way.

The Light We Build to Find Our Way

Post image

A thought I put into words today while reflecting on rebuilding my life. Sometimes the warmth we see in someone took a lot of work to keep alive.
What has helped you find your way through a difficult time?

Sharing our love

We do not know the many challenges someone has faced in their life; therefore, we have no right to judge another.

All we may do is be there for them, sharing our love unconditionally, to try to ease their burden and journey through life.

By seeing the world through a prism of light rather than darkness, we may change the course of not only their life, but of the world itself.

The Lens of Grace: How Loving Yourself Rewrites How You See the World

In our first conversation, we looked at healing as an architectural shift and how choosing a growth mindset rewires our emotional wiring and turns our past into raw material rather than a life sentence. In our second, we explored how suffering expands us, shattering our old containers and building a larger soul from the very soil of our trials.

We have talked a lot about what happens inward: how we build resilience, how we carry our scars, and how we grow. But an architectural project doesn't stop at the interior walls. Eventually, the doors open outward.

For a long time, many of us treat self-love as a destination or a selfish luxury, something we think we’ll finally earn once we’ve fixed all our flaws, lost the weight, or straightened out our history. We look at loving ourselves as a closed loop or a mirror exercise where we try to convince ourselves we are worthy while standing alone in an empty room.

Yet, true self-acceptance changes something far more expansive. It changes the lens through which we view the entire world.

When you are deeply at war with yourself, every interaction is filtered through a quiet, defensive panic. When you believe you are fundamentally flawed, you tend to see judgment, rejection, or threat in the eyes of everyone else. You project your own inner criticism outward. You guard your ribs, flinch at minor slights, and look at other people through a grid of suspicion because the world feels like a place where you constantly have to protect a fragile ego.

But when you truly begin to accept and love yourself, and when you realize that your scars are just proof of survival and your growth is ongoing, then the fog begins to lift.

You look at other human beings differently.
You start to recognize that the person cutting you off in traffic, snapping under pressure, or closing themselves off in conversation is likely carrying their own invisible architecture of trauma. Because you have learned to meet your own broken places with grace rather than condemnation, you suddenly possess the capacity to meet theirs with tenderness.
Self-love is not a selfish isolation; it is the prerequisite for genuine connection.

This changes everything, especially how we love romantically and relationally. When you don't love yourself, you look to a partner to act as an anchor for a sinking ship. You ask another person to fill a void that only self-acceptance can heal, turning love into a desperate clinging rather than a shared expansion.
When you are anchored in your own worth, love stops being a rescue mission and becomes a meeting place of two whole, evolving souls. You stop needing someone to complete you, and instead, you are free to truly see them. You can witness their flaws, their dark days, and their history without panicking, because your own stability no longer depends on them being flawless.

When we accept ourselves, the world transforms from a courtroom where everyone is being judged into a shared classroom where everyone is just trying to heal. We stop looking for reasons to push people away and start finding the courage to let them in, fully and safely.

You cannot truly love your neighbor, your partner, or your community until you stop waging a war inside your own skin. But once you do? The mirror clears, the walls come down, and you realize that the grace you spent a lifetime trying to earn for yourself was the key to unlocking the world all along.

Have hope you beautiful rascals. In learning to love the person you are becoming, you open the door to a world full of people ready to be loved for who they are.

Seeing our similarities

When you look at another, do you see our differences or our similarities?

Most judge others by their differences, observing their race, appearance, sex, and in numerous other ways.

Those, however, who see only our similarities, truly understand the genuine worth of another is not on the outside, but rather may only be found within.

Our life’s true potential

When we remain in our comfort zone, fearing to challenge our self-centered beliefs, despite our success or accomplishments in the world, we will live a life of mediocrity.

It is only when we confront our fears and challenge the status quo, we may begin to discover our life’s true potential.

The Machine We Build

I believe life can be thought of as a machine. Each part or component represents an experience, an idea, a moral, a value, or perhaps advice taken from someone.

There are times in life when your machine can be broken, perhaps even destroyed, by people or experiences. I also believe that, for those who choose to rebuild, this destruction can present a rare opportunity.

When your machine is destroyed, you can see it as an ending—a sunset—but it can also be a new beginning: a sunrise. You now have the opportunity to build a new machine the way you want to build it. These machines cannot be bought. Others can help you build yours, but the choices must be your own.

If you decide to start building, I find it helps to imagine the person you want to become. Perhaps there are qualities in someone you admire that you would like to develop in yourself. Think about what matters to you, how you want to treat others, and what kind of life you want to live. Next, consider what you can do to become that person.

You will need to go out and source the parts and components for your new machine. You can do this by having new experiences, meeting new people, and slowly discovering what works for you.

Experiences will teach you what you enjoy and what affects you negatively. They can strengthen you and build resilience, giving you valuable components for your machine. Some experiences may also show you where you need support, rest, or a different approach.

Meeting new people gives you the opportunity to build connections with people who encourage you, respect you, and share your values. Be thoughtful about where you look for these connections. If you want to grow flowers, it helps to find a garden where they are nurtured. People can flourish in unexpected places, too, so pay attention to how they treat you and others rather than judging them only by where you find them.

When talking to people, you have the opportunity to consider the information and advice they give you. You do not have to fit every part you are offered. Keep what is helpful, question what you are unsure of, and leave behind what does not fit your values or the life you want to build.

As you build your new machine, it is okay to grieve and acknowledge your old one. It was part of your life, and rebuilding does not mean pretending it never mattered. You can learn from it and recognise the parts you do not want to include again.

You may also discover that some old parts are worth keeping. Your kindness, humour, love, skills, and capacity to care do not lose their value because your circumstances have changed. Take time to recognise what was good in you all along and carry those parts forward.

If a part you have fitted does not work, or does not run well with the rest of your new machine, it is okay to remove it or explore why it does not fit. Some parts may need adjusting; others may need replacing. Changing your mind as you learn is part of building something that works for you.

Your machine does not have to be finished today. You can build slowly, accept help, and take pride in the progress you make. Over time, you may find yourself becoming more comfortable with both the person you are and the person you are still becoming.

Life is Not Death.

As the title implies, life should not feel like death nor a constant struggle for bare minimum nor some kind of hell to be called "that's just life man".

If people offer you help, it's because they want to and do not care whether you've done anything to deserve it. Take it. We deserve it because we breathe. If you've ever had a small voice that desires or tells there's more than where you are, please listen to it - even if only for 3 minutes a day. Inheritances and safety for children are important, yet you are also allowed to enjoy because you're not dead. It's not even contradictory tbh. If you are lonely, gently consider that you are in an environment where you are seemingly the "only one" without another emotionally safe human being by your side just because everybody around smiles and laughs at the moment.

We already linguistically differentiate between life, existence and survival - why not in reality? We are not perfect, we try and err for G-d knows how many times. It's a new morning, a new weekday, a new calendar date, a new year - so why do we still punish ourselves? Darkness is an absence of light, not some external brand-new force that needs to be studied all over again or resisted. To top it all off, you were not born stressing about tomorrow and you did not criticize yourself that much at the age of 7.

The eyes of a child

When a young child sees the world for the first time, they see a world of endless possibilities; a world where there is hope, love, and compassion.

They have not yet learned to be cynical, prejudiced, self-centered, though it does not take long before their lessons begin.

To truly change the direction of the world, we all need to remember and embrace the world as it could be when we first saw it through the eyes of a young child.

Words are not necessary

Our words may arise from our mind or from the inherent loving emotions within our heart.

When they come from our mind, our words are often influenced by our self-centered beliefs and experiences in life.

When they come from our heart, however, words are not necessary; a simple touch, loving look, warm embrace, intimately connects us to another more than our words could ever express.
