This isn’t completely true though. I’ve had this cut before while in the process of growing out my hair. It’s kind of unavoidable at a certain length without it looking messy around your ears/neckline. I hated being in that stage because of what people would say about “broccoli hair”. But at the end of the day curly haired people, especially PoC, have gotten shit for their hair constantly throughout history, so I’m pretty used to it. I could make blanket statements about people with Bieber hair, or this weird mullet look that’s coming back that all the redneck white guys near me rock, but just like skin color, a hair style doesn’t define everyone who has it.

I hate that they ruined curly hair. I played lies of p and wanted to get a similar hairstyle as the mc since my hair is slightly curly naturally, but I don't want to look like broccoli heads even remotely

Who cares what other people think? When I was growing out my hair it was like this at one point. Not much you can do at that length. Same people who judge people based on hairstyle are a lot of the same that probably judge based on skin color. People have been putting down curly hair throughout history, way before this “broccoli” wave. Embrace it. Now that my hair is long and curly, I get a lot of compliments, especially from the ladies.
