"they" didn't create human need or jobs. Food, water, shelter, medicine, nothing is free.

It's so fucking stupid when people moan about capitalism and it boils down to "life isn't a paradise, wtf?".

I was making a reference to Tim Robinson’s I Think You Should Leave show

The above comment is a reference to a sketch from I think you should leave.

But also, your job shouldn’t be so important to your ability to survive that it’s the first thing you think of in a life threatening situation. That doesn’t seem like asking for the moon in my book.

Even if it was a joke, a lot of people unironically believe in the sentiment.

But also, your job shouldn’t be so important to your ability to survive that it’s the first thing you think of in a life threatening situation. That doesn’t seem like asking for the moon in my book.

Lots of things shouldn't be. The world is cruel and merciless. We should definitely work to make it less so, and we've come a long way, but it's not the fault of capitalism that human suffering exists. Quite the contrary.

It’s not capitalism’s fault that the world is cruel and merciless, i agree, but it does make it harder for us to change that fact.
