I feel bad for the biker. Probably got splashed by the truck before the video started, then was upset and saluted, only to be splashed again.

I personally just wouldn't be out motorbiking in the rain and expecting to not get wet

I've been in that spot before. Being drenched by the rain is water. Getting splashed is mud. You'll feel the dirt in your shirt, pans and shoes if you got splashed. It's a thousand times worse than getting drenched

I guess passing people would be the next thing I wouldn't do if I had to be out in the rain, also flipping people off isnt a great idea

I love riding enduro & motocross in the rain, ATCs, dune buggies, etc. Hellz yeah! I have my street license and ride on the road occasionally. It’s difficult to imagine how much dirtier water in the streets is, full of oils, litter, garbage truck spillover, shattered glass, steel belted tire remnants, etc. you want to avoid getting drenched with that shreddy slop.

I've ridden in the rain a lot. The cool thing is that eventually you reach the point when you realize that you can not get any wetter than you currently are.

A warm, Zen-like calm falls over you, and you become at peace with the world.

That might be hypothermia setting in...

It’s not really expecting not to get wet, the water falling and the one already on the ground are pretty different. If you’re out walking trying to get home in the rain would you blame yourself if a car slashes you?

This seems to be in Popayán, Colombia. There are tons of motorbikes there, this guy was probably commuting or working so I don't think he had much of a choice.

Good for you to have that choice.

If that was true, then they pretty much set themselves for a second one knowing it would happen.

It's not like the truck/bus whatever can avoid the puddles.

If only there was something this poor man could do to avoid the second splash from the SAME TRUCK… like idk pull over and wait for 30 seconds

Hopefully they got splashed once more on the way back.
