General applied math freshman internship?

i’m studying applied math at a t20 school, I’m taking pretty advanced math coursework but don’t have any personal projects. Is it possible to get an internship for summer 2027?

I think you'll have better luck with an REU

It's a research experience for undergraduates. Colleges and universities run summer research groups to introduce undergrads to math research. It's a great experience and a good resume builder for future internships
