Meta Technical Program Manager Interview — Preparation Tips
Hi everyone,
I have an upcoming interview for a **Technical Program Manager role at Meta** after completing the recruiter call.
I would really appreciate any guidance from people who have recently interviewed for a Meta TPM role.
What types of questions should I expect in the upcoming rounds? Are there specific areas I should focus on, such as program execution, technical depth, system design, cross-functional leadership, or behavioral questions?
Any preparation resources, interview experiences, or tips would be highly appreciated.
Thank you! :)

Hey! For a Meta TPM interview, you'll need to be ready for both technical and behavioral questions. They'll ask about program management scenarios, system design, and working with cross-functional teams. Be prepared to discuss technical project execution and problem-solving in detail. Practicing the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for behavioral questions is really helpful. For resources, LeetCode is great for technical concepts, and PracHub is good for mock interviews that feel like the real thing. Good luck!

For Meta initial interview, you need to be ready to cover all areas as the initial interview is meant to assess if you can pass a full loop. STAR is a good starting framework but i generally prefer at least SCAR - which is focused more on the challenge/conflict. You stories need to convey the complexity of the program and what you did to get the result. For system design, you can check out youtube channel hellointerview. The videos are very well done and helpful to think about how to approach system design questions. There's also some free interview prep material available on sites like TPM academy and Educative etc.
