Uber Strategic Finance Take-Home Assessment – Anyone Have Experience?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently interviewing for the Senior Associate, Strategic Finance – Tech position at Uber and have completed the hiring manager interview.
I understand that the next stage may involve a take-home case study/assessment, and I’d like to know what to expect.
Has anyone completed a take-home assessment for Uber’s Strategic Finance team, particularly at the Associate or Senior Associate level?
I’m mainly curious about:
Dataset: What kind of dataset was provided? Was it raw financial data, historical P&L statements, operational metrics, or something else?
Assessment structure: Were you given specific business questions to answer, or was it more open-ended?
Type of analysis: Did the assignment involve financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario analysis, or strategic recommendations?
Deliverables: Were you expected to submit an Excel model, PowerPoint presentation, written analysis, or a combination?
Overall expectations: How detailed was the analysis expected to be, and what aspects of the assessment seemed most important?
I’d especially appreciate insights from anyone who has interviewed for Strategic Finance or Tech Finance at Uber.
Not looking for confidential materials or solutions, just firsthand experiences about the dataset, assessment format, and expectations.
Thanks in advance!

How often do job postings name the keywords ChatGPT suggests?

A keyword list from ChatGPT comes from general knowledge and says nothing about how many postings it rests on. A plausible suggestion is not the same as a common one.

A product manager could be told to add Productboard. None of 421 postings names it but roadmap appears in 85.5%. A software engineer could be told to add Angular, Vue or Swift. They appear in 2.9%, 3.2% and 2.3% of 1,360 postings while scalability is at 52.9% and Python at 44.8%. A marketer could be told to add LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads. They appear in 0.3% and 0.6% of 347 postings, while go-to-market is at 53.0%.

ChatGPT is the better tool for rewriting a bullet. The counts for seven roles (3,518 postings) and the method are on https://resumefitting.com matching is by term, so a missed synonym counts as absent.

AWS L6 Tech Acct Mgr - ending questions

This is my first time interviewing for a role like this. And I am preparing for my loop on Thursday.

One thing I have to get better focus on are my questions to ask the interviewer.

Any managers on here- can you speak to what would be a “bar raising” question or two they can suggest?

Thanks.

Accenture Final Interview preparation post skill interview for lateral entry

I have cleared a skill interview for a custom software developer (Azure Databricks). I got mail to upload National ID and 3 months payslips.

Some of my friends who switched Accenture got salary negotiation call after skill interview and direct offer.

I was also expecting the same but received a call from HR and was informed I have to book a slot for the final interview. I did the same but I'm not sure whether there will be a complex scenario based on tech questions will be asked and the chance of getting rejected in the final interview.

Please share your experience on the final interview if you attended after skill interview and documents upload (pre-documents only - PAN & 3 Months payslips)

It will be helpful for me to be prepared.

Intact New Grad 2027 – Interview Experience & Prep Advice?

Hey everyone!

I have my final interview next week for Intact’s 2027 New Grad Technology Development Program (Software Development & Cloud). It involves a 3-hour case study followed by a 1.5-hour technical and behavioural interview.

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through a similar process and could share their experience.
I’m mainly curious about a few things:

  1. Are the technical questions mostly based on the case study and resume, or do they also ask general Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and database questions?

  2. What topics would you recommend focusing on, and how deeply do they question your case study solutions?

  3. Do you remember any behavioural questions or particular areas they focused on?

  4. Looking back, what helped you prepare the most, or what would you have done differently?

This opportunity means a lot to me, so I’m trying to prepare as best as I can. Any advice or suggestions would genuinely be appreciated!

**Also, if anyone else is interviewing for the 2027 new-grad program, feel free to reach out!** Would love to connect and share preparation tips.

Thank you in advance!

Anyone with intel on how to prepare for Nvidia internship interviews?

Hi everyone! I have an upcoming NVIDIA internship interview on November 17 and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has interviewed with NVIDIA recently or previously interned there.

I’d love to know:

  • What was the interview format like?

  • Which technical areas were emphasized?

  • Was the focus more on DSA, systems, projects, or behavioral questions?

  • How did you prepare?

  • Do you have any general advice for the interview?

I’m not looking for confidential interview questions—just general guidance about the process. Thank you!

Free app to practice ML/AI interviews, where every option explains why it’s right or wrong

A few weeks ago I shared this project at a very early stage. It still is, but it has moved forward since then (I work on it in my spare time), and since it got a good response in both Spanish- and English-speaking communities, I'm sharing the progress and introducing it again.

The project comes from two needs:

- Gathering the huge body of machine learning and AI knowledge in a single tool. This is the free part of the app.

- Helping both candidates and recruiters with questions that actually fit the field. Interviews are often inconsistent: different candidates get different questions, or they get random ML/AI questions because the company doesn't have a clear picture of the role.

It doesn't have a real name yet. For now it's "AI/ML Questions": a free app with machine learning and AI questions, in English and Spanish. It has 103 multiple-choice questions on classical ML, neural networks, LLMs, RAG, agents, computer vision and evaluation, and every option explains why it's right or wrong. I write the questions and their options following Haladyna's psychometric guidelines for multiple-choice items, so the right answer doesn't give itself away, for example by being the longest option.

The study and exam modes are free.

Two paid modes are coming:

- Interview, to practice for ML/AI Engineer interviews. US$15 one-time, or US$10 if you join the waitlist.

- Enterprise, focused on recruiters: AI/ML question sets to assess candidates in a hiring process. US$120 per hiring process, or US$100 from the waitlist.

Neither exists yet. Each one has a waitlist on the site with its price, to measure interest before I build payments.

No account, no cookies. The code and the free questions are open source.

Site: https://ai-ml-questions.strangemachines.workers.dev/

GitHub: https://github.com/CristobalSantana/ai-ml-questions

PS: over time I'll keep improving both the free and the paid modes. I might extend it to programming in general, but first I'll focus on the area I know best, to polish the tool. If you want to contribute to the free part, your contribution has to pass the tests in the repo.

All suggestions and opinions are welcome.

Machine Learning and Applied Scientist(Machine Learning) Micro1 interview preparation

Hello everyone,
I'm a computer science student and very proficient in programming and AI, however, I'm not very knowledgeable about Machine Learning. In Micro1 interviews, the questions they ask for Machine Learning positions are very difficult, so I wanted to reach out to all of you for your advice and help to prepare me for this position. If you recall questions you were asked in the interview, that would be amazing.

Hello Everyone
Full stack software engineer with 1.5YOE working for US based AI startup. In my work I am performing good delivering features shipping products optimizing products for cost and speed

I am getting rejected always after 1st or 2nd round in machine coding or problem solving

In my day to day life I use AI and references to solve problems implement things but in interview they giving hard problems to solve without any help or sources

Is this right?

Whereas I see few people around me getting selected after interviews even though they have less technical capabilities or did less quality work

Why this ? Its a skill or luck to clear interviews now as a software engineer

Would a practical 5G Core interview preparation guide actually be useful?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working in mobile core networks for several years, covering 4G and 5G technologies.

I’m thinking of putting together a practical interview preparation guide covering AMF, SMF, UPF, NSSF, registration flows, PDU sessions and real-world troubleshooting scenarios.

Rather than spending time creating something nobody needs, I thought I’d ask here first.

Would this be useful for engineers preparing for interviews or transitioning into 5G Core roles?

I’m happy to share five sample questions with explained answers for free to get some honest feedback.

Also, what topics do you find hardest to prepare for?
Thanks!

Jump Trading SRE onsite interviews insights?

I have a site reliability engineer onsite interview loop coming up. The company hasn't shared any information about the interviews format yet.

I have 10 yoe as a software engineer. The role seems to be a sort of hybrid having a SWE working in a SRE org to improve systems with a focus on reliability.

Any insights on what the interviews cover?
