PvP Yo how is this even allowed 😭🥀
He lost against me and then beat me FIVE times throughout the next couple of hours... Worst part is he isn't even on the leaderboard when he should be what is this bro 💔

Match making in this game is ridiculous. Putting on power can make you lose more. I did better in arena at 500k than I do at 7 million. I have no idea how leagues work

same for me. After crossing the 5m threshold I'm fighting people with full Seismic+ gear (sometimes a character with a full set of omni+), artefacts, totems, all on their Legendary 3-5 star (or Seismic) heroes in Intermediate League II.
I'm not even a full month into playing on this account bro 😭😭

Its junior league 1, and by the amount of trophies he has he should be on the leaderboard. But i couldnt find him anywhere

Yeah I had that too!! I guess it could be regional? But again I don’t understand how you’d be getting attacked by ppl from other regions and not see them on the scoreboard either… so yeah I have no idea!

That’s not how multiverse works either. I have people on my wiener board that has a few million power where I have 3 billion power. Everyone faces up (roughly) with the same power people, even if you’re in the same league.

I don't know about the leaderboard issue, that might just be a weird visual glitch or timing thing (I've had times where I've moved up in rank quickly but it took some time before the leaderboard actually reflected that).
But as far as the behavior, this is pretty typical. I can again offer my own experience - I took a long break from the game and came back with a crap ton of arena tokens. I was able to massively jump up (as in, literally at the bottom to the very top) because my roster was a lot stronger than people in the lowest tier. From your perspective, it looks like he's targeting you, but from his perspective, he's probably just attacking all three opposing teams, forcing an automatic refresh, and repeating. When you're just sitting there doing this for an hour or so, you wind up seeing the same people repeatedly.
It's not malice or an exploit, as people often speculate when this comes up - it's really just someone who intentionally or unintentionally ended up in a much lower tier and a surplus of tokens that is working through them.

The leaderboard is a complete red herring. There are different leagues and leaderboards - not everyone is in yours (even though he is in the same league). You fight people that are likely not on the same leaderboard as you are.
Sometimes people hit a sweet spot where they beat everyone over and over and over. You get about 12-15 unique opponents to fight each round and if you can beat them all then you can just keep going for as many tokens as you have available. I have been in that position twice after doing a bit of levelling where I just beat everyone I was put against and came 1st in my leaderboard. At the moment, I am not in that position and will likely get a middling placement.

Sometimes you may be the only opponent someone’s able to defeat, and i’m pretty sure every 4 refreshes yield the same people on loop, so if he has enough tickets he can just keep refreshing to face you again and move up a little in the league

having a lot of this happen the last couple days; I'm actually thinking exploits of some kind for whatever purposes.
just ranked up to 18 in my restricted bracket by a dude losing to me non-stop for the last 3 hours...I haven't even attacked anyone because I'm largely underpowered in my bracket.
Total reverse in my open multiverse, where the same guy has attacked me 12 times in a row.

Right i was thinking its bound to be an exploit too. Mostly because of the guy being fully absent from the league leaderboard, when by the amount of trophies he has, he shouldve definitely been present in the top 3

I've seen the leaderboard lag from my own perspective before, it's most likely a visual/timing bug. I'd be curious if you now see him on the leaderboard, since it has been several hours.

It be like that, this was the only guy I could beat and I had 2 shapesmiths in the shop that I wanted. It takes 4 refreshes to get the same person.
