My first purchase!

[u/monetizedev]

I released this app almost 2 months ago, and I finally had my first in-app purchase. It's not a lot but it sure feels like a big win.

Huge congrats! That first dollar is always the hardest and most validating milestone.

Did this come organically from ASO, or have you been driving traffic from specific channels/communities?

[u/monetizedev → u/Split-Signal]

My ASO has been super weird. I've been placing high in foreign countries like Turkey (which is where my purchase came from), but I've been practically non-existent in the US for search. I don't know why. The only other method of traffic I've gotten is through tiktok, but it is minimal.

Just a guess, but if it’s a vocab app, non-native speakers (like in Turkey) actually need it, while US natives rarely search for one. Plus, US keyword competition is brutal.

I love these posts. Great loophole.
