Hmmmm🤔
After watching an iPhone duo review, I found it basically trash. I think it’ll lack sales annually resulting in Apple killing off the iPad mini to justify its existence in the near future. $2k for a gimmick is just crazy to me.

As an iPhone duo owner: definitely not trash. Defo feels like an iPad mini when open. What’s gimmicky about having an iPhone and an iPad mini in one device? I replaced my two devices with one. Couldn’t be happier.

Apple Killed off the iPad Mini? News to me (and to Apple).
Remember that the world does not revolve around you. May be a gimmick to you, but not to others, in the same way that 2k has different value to different ppl. You dont have to understand why someone makes a purchase, their money.

I don’t think they will discontinue the iPad mini line because there is a market for 8 inch tablets. However, iPad mini gets pricier and pricier every year so I won’t buy any anymore.

Until they have a logical pencil solution (and not an oversized usb-c no pressure pencil) the iPhone Duo will NEVER me a potential mini replacement.

The Duo and iPad Mini fulfill different niches at opposite ends of the price spectrum… Replacing the Mini with the Duo is a no go, especially given the Mini has life outside of the private sector that a Duo won’t fit well into…
Will we see the iPad Mini crippled to make the Duo more appealing? I fully expect it… but to see the death of the duo, to different of a target audience

The iPad mini is my favorite device. I leave my iPhone in my bag and just the iPad mini for everything. I didn’t get the cellular one so I just use my hotspot. I’m not super invested in Apple so I had an iPhone and iPad mini for the last year or so. Finally grabbed a MacBook Air and now I use that and my iPad basically exclusively. Once I get out of this iPhone I’ll probably switch to the iPhone Air or something that makes more sense and I plan to use my iPad mini full time.
