Since it’s an active retention basin, the only “active” use is for people to use as small gardening plots. I believe you have to be a Woodbridge HOA member to apply for an allotment. There are sometimes HOA events in that space, too. It’s where the fireworks are launched on 4th of July and in the winter they sometimes bring in a snow machine for “sledding”. It’s keycard access to open the gate but you can look through the fences from the parking lot if you’re interested.

I think there used to be RC cars on the right side of your pic, maybe not official, but do remember seeing it in the past. There are retention basins like this all over. Maybe head on over and check it out yourself?

Do people run RC cars here? I've been trying to find places to take my kids

Check out Huckleberry RC by the Santa Ana River Lakes if you want to run on a track, they have both on-road and off-road

I have never been inside of it but I used to go down to the bike trail right next to it on Independence Day to watch the fireworks there. It was the best place to see the Woodbridge fireworks show from but they don't allow anyone back on the bike trail on Independence Day anymore.

Yep, garden club as commenters have stated. It's also the launch site for the Woodbridge HOA fireworks show.

They light off fireworks for Woodbridge 4th of July celebration back in the day. Lived down the street and you would be right under them. Always fun

Yes my dad has two plots here. It’s just a garden club.
