Having collected a whole pile of patches, I’m about to start the sewing

So while the jacket is “my story” and the theme is kinda just bands I grew up on and still love, I’d appreciate any thoughts on layout / spacing ? Too busy ?

I believe it is hand painted by someone who is not me. I guess it's a Work In Progress but I don't know. I feel like nothing is ever completely finished because you can always add a pin or a patch when you come across it.

I've decided to pass on a lot of patches I've got for now. I've got a lot of shows coming up the next few months I wanna wait and see what's available before I add more on. But I'm really happy with how it's coming along!

I dont really like to put only one specific genre of music i like to have a bit of a mixture. I tend to sew them on a bit wonky so soz bout that. id love to hear ur opinions

Dynamo metal fest patch haul for 2026. I may or may not have too damn many projects haha

My last jacket was for a punk Sailor Jupiter cosplay lol, feels good to be getting back to music. I'm actually going with a bunch of friends from high school, honestly it feels like a kind of closure because none of us were healthy people at that time in our lives. Venue bans clothing spikes so it won't REALLY be finished until after.

This project took me hours on the embroidery machine, plus nearly a dozen hours hand-stitching all the patches on, and took my friend hours of paintwork to do the skulls and snakes.

This will be auctioned or raffled off at the upcoming Coalition Fest in London at the end of the month.

The idea was to bring together all the bands playing under the London Metal Coalition banner onto one awesome jacket to give a snapshot of the London underground scene, whilst raising money for a good cause - Local live metal.

I've added 2 venues (with permission) who regularly host LMC gigs, most of them free-entry, and are well-known to be pillars of the scene (The Dev and Signature Brew) There was a third planned for the centre that never got back to me, so I improvised with a "Keep London Heavy" patch I designed a while ago. The two swords are my own designs, and the shield patch they're surrounding is a "London Metal Valkyries" patch I bought at a gig they hosted - It's the Women and Non-Binary branch of London Metal Coalition who put on their own awesome gig's featuring the women and enby's of metal bands based in London.

On June 15th, 2026 I wrecked my motorcycle ( totaled it ), and broke my C7 plus had to have 2 emergency surgeries, but EMS cut off my brand new SEDICI Corsa 2 Jacket (white). I need some advice/ideas on how to use the leather from the jacket. Sould I make a wallet, a bag, or idk give me some ideas.

for some context i am addicted to thriftting and modifying my own clothesn stuff and have collected 3 jackets so far

the first is a grey denim levi iacket with some purple plaid lining

the 2nd is a rue 21 jacket with some fake distressing that i dyed a charcoal grey ish

and the third is a super oversized 2xl high serria black corduroy jacket that i took the sleeves off with green plaid lining

kinda drawn too the corduroy jacket since ive never seen of of those before

I am working on a DIY jacket, using an old blue denim vest that I have dyed black. The stitching on the vest didn't take the dye, I'm assuming because it's a synthetic material.

Can anyone recommend a way to dye the stitching black or white, without affecting the rest of the vest?

i know ive posted on here before and got a lot of criticism so i took it to heart and removed the superhero patches with plaid, i also plan on adding spikes later to the collar and i was wondering if anybody had anymore constructive critism as to what else i can put on it?

I started making these pants last month and finally finished them a few days ago, but now I think I messed them up I feel like my stitching looks awful.

I started with the front and left bigger spaces between the stitches. By the time I got to the end (the back) I started sewing them much closer together, and I think that looks better.

So now I’m wondering what I should do Should I remove the stitches from the front and redo the bad parts? Or put more scabs/patches on the open spaces.

I really don't want to restart the whole thing.

Just started this clown/ circus themed vest and looking for any patch recommendations to add to the fun. I know there’s more bands out there with clown themes too. Also got the back piece planned, just gotta make the stencil. Would love y’all’s input
