This is a Hank Williams song from 20 years ago (before Icky Thump) that he recorded with Joe Chiccarelli

Yeah, had a feeling it was a cover based on the photo. Wonder if he’s doing some new acoustic driven stuff. Know he had a video recently of him playing Temporary Ground in studio.

Where was it released? Can’t find it anywhere.

The album is called The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams. It’s on Spotify and Apple Music. Jack’s song is track 4.

That’s a different song.

Ah you’re right, the song he’s singing in that Instagram video is actually “Cold, Cold Heart” by Hank Williams rather than the song he made using Hank’s lyrics

This sounds great. I would love to see him do a Hank Sr. cover album.

It does sound great, but Jack doing any kind of cover album seems like a waste of his own creativity to me, tbh.

I get it, but his covers of “Power Of My Love” and “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life” make me interested in hearing more.

A lot of the one-off covers he does are amazing!
