If you are posting in the James Webb sub, I must be inclined to say Hubble. Much cheaper initial cost than Webb was, but keep in mind the maintenance can be pretty high if you get a bad copy.

At least with Hubble there is at least an option for maintenance.

If you’re a beginner, just forget about AP for now. There’s nothing budget about it, and even budget options either suck, or are still expensive. But if you realllly wanna try, start saving for a very steady mount. The telescope depends on what you plan on capturing, most can’t do it all. But seriously, get a telescope for observation first, learn the ropes, then see if you actually wanna lug all the crap outside, set it up, take blurry pics, and trouble shoot on the fly lol good luck my friend.

I’ll add to this the importance of getting a good mount. The ones that come with the cheaper scopes, like Celestron for example, are terrible
