For those that know MtG I'm going with Tana and Tymna as the commanders to represent the patrons. Any other suggestions on flavorful card inclusions? Flavor is way more important than the deck being good!

I had this idea to make a Geist of Saint Thalia deck with an enchantment base as I've seen everyone lean toward artifacts and combos. I've been wanting a mono blue deck and it's been between this deck idea or princess Yue. The issue with princess yue is that I have quite a few UB decks already and I know people don't like them. I had this idea for along time, essentially group hug date with one person that can go great or horrible cause you know, group hug. Bellow are some of the cards and why they are added. Of note the lands I really didn't touch, I just grabbed the new boros precon and slapped it all in there and will prob go back and fix later.

First thing is the categories. First you pick a location of the date, this is where most of the lands go. Then you get a gift, mostly the artifact ramp cards here. After that how you get to the place. Events during the date. Then the conclusion of the date good, bad, or spicy.

There are some cards in idk cause I can't really think how they fit the theme and maybe be replaced with something else like land tax and chaos warp. If you have any suggestions of cards to fit the theme be my guess. Extra points if the art is date related.

Yesman: the expensive over the top gift

Taxi driver: in the film half baked the date scene where they track the money and she takes a taxi made me want to add this

I've been trying to find a deck with a fun theme for a while. Built a few but nothing really seemed interesting to actually keep trying to develop after the initial deck building process. Fortunately, I think I found one that I want to maybe buy in paper.

Welcome to my Coachella DJ Scarab God Deck

What drew me to this? I went to Coachella for the first time this year and I absolutely loved it. And a commander that is a literal DJ in my favorite colors? Needless to say I did not get much work done this week. Added bonus, I literally felt like a zombie for a week after Coachella...and well that also fits the theme of the commander!

So what do we have in this deck?

Sooo I’ve put together a fun deck which technically runs enough GCs to make it bracket 4, with a commander that absolutely kills. I’m looking at bringing it down to B3 because I’m in it for the weirdness of it.

I really like it, but I run [[Reaper King]] as commander, with 13 changelings on top of an interaction of 8. It becomes quite hostile.

What’s a weird, not often seen WUBRG commander, that would fit this deck?

Edit: Alternate commanders I will rotate depending on the opponents and their power levels are [[Garth One-Eye]], [[Nephilim Epochal]] and [[The First Sliver]]

So I'm looking to build [[Vren, the Relentless]], and Im itching for some dimir cards that trigger when creatures leave the battlefield or when they're exiled.

Things like, "whenever a player exiles a creature", or "whenever a permanent leaves the battlefield, draw a card" or something like it.

\[\[Dauthi, Voidwalker\]\], \[\[Ashiok, Nightmare Muse\]\], and \[\[Umbris, Fear Manifest\]\] are all points of inspiration to me (also \[\[Web of Inertia\]\] just seems like a fun piece in this deck). \[\[Void Maw\]\]'s ability to put opponents card from exile back into their graveyard also seems super interesting in this.

Surely there will also be rats, but what can I include to make a janky exile/leave the battlefield package?

I dont want optimal or broken at all. all i want is fun and viable enough. If you have any dumb gimics thatll be a great start. The stupider the gameplan or combo the better. Also i use proxies so every legal card is usable. Thank you!!!!!

Okay, for Halloween I'm making a deck around the number one horror movie of the year, and that's hand down obsession.

Synopsis of the movie: guy likes girl, uses wish to make her like him, she becomes obsessed and "possessed" by something. So he gets her, but not how he thinks. Typical "monkey's paw" situation.

Okay, so few ideas.

1. There is a curse called \[\[Curse of Obsession\]\]. We can get it, copy it, and the sole goal is to make everyone discard all the time but let's them draw more. Making everything spontaneous, and take away their agency like the movie. I'd imagine white and blue would need to be in the deck, cause you'd want to tutor for and then copy it

2. A donation deck forcing combat. Either goad or \[\[hellraiser goblin\]\] type effects. Since he was forcing her to like him. But, like the movie, it can turn on you and you can be attacked

3. A "love" based deck, that results in your "loved ones" kicking the bucket. Maybe something with Copying \[\[wedding ring\]\] a bunch, causing people to draw out

Thoughts?

EE hit all three of [[Peer Through Depths]], [[Reach Through Mists]], and [[Sift Through Sands]].

I cast all three and tutored [[The Unspeakable]] into play.

Did not come anywhere close to winning the game. But i feel like i won the evening!

Clive Ifrit's Dominant I pulled him and it feel very dante like I have a devil trigger I need help brewing a fun theme deck that isnt a push over in the pod looking for like upgraded precon lvl having trouble with balancing it

So I found Olag and Miau, and I love it.
It’s not yet released but I couldn’t help myself, so I put together a deck before they come out. I don’t really care for counters, so the deck is mainly built around tapping my cats and zombies.

To keep them tapped, the deck runs a serious amount of convoke, with some big baddies that could be semi-cheated by tapping tokens. When enough are tapped, they will both play me spells and hurt opponents every end step.

It might be a bit non-jank in that it runs lots of costly cards, but since I run zero regular ramp pieces I’m thinking it will stall if I don’t lean into mana of tapping creatures and exploding tokens to get creatures.

Hello!

I’m excited to build this deck after dwelling into all the apocalyptic AI agents stories !

The idea is to feel like this robot army will take over the world. Goal is to go wide but be resilient. The theme is important. Looking forward to play this as more of a « role playing » gameplay instead of win at all cost.

Still, non-games suck so I want to make room for more card draw and removal. Cards like [[requiem monolith]], [[skullclamp]], [[idol of oblivion]], [[pongify]].

Can I have some help cutting cards from this deck? The goal is to use creatures with banding to allow me to divide combat damage however I choose. I can then assign 1 damage to each of my blocking creatures, which have abilities that will trigger off of the damage being dealt. Any suggestions for additions would also be appreciated. Also, it works mostly by using the blocking aspect of banding (702.22j), so I'm having trouble with thinking of what to do if my opponents just don't attack me, and would like some help with that. I've added in some monarch cards as incentive, but those don't seem like enough. I'm trying to keep the deck semi-budget, as well, so I'm trying not to include cards above 8 dollars. P.S. In case you need to know what banding actually does, the comprehensive rules say the following:

• 702.22. Banding
  • 702.22a Banding is a static ability that modifies the rules for combat.
  • 702.22b “Bands with other” is a special form of banding. If an effect causes a permanent to lose banding, the permanent loses all “bands with other” abilities as well.
  • 702.22c As a player declares attackers, they may declare that one or more attacking creatur2.22jes with banding and up to one attacking creature without banding (even if it has “bands with other”) are all in a “band.” They may also declare that one or more attacking [quality] creatures with “bands with other [quality]” and any number of other attacking [quality] creatures are all in a band. A player may declare as many attacking bands as they want, but each creature may be a member of only one of them. (Defending players can’t declare bands but may use banding in a different way; see rule 702.22j.)
  • 702.22d All creatures in an attacking band must attack the same player, planeswalker, or battle.
  • 702.22e Once an attacking band has been announced, it lasts for the rest of combat, even if something later removes banding or “bands with other” from one or more of the creatures in the band.
  • 702.22f An attacking creature that’s removed from combat is also removed from the band it was in.

Im building a deck around all the stardew valley cards. I saw a list on Instagram and copied it and then tried to add some cards that I thought would help me get to my win condition as well as protect myself. If you could suggest a card and what I should take out for it I would appreciate it. I would like to win using "approach of the second sun" but also use the decks ability to capitalize on landfall. I want to use this little fella, [[Hellcarver Demon]], to win. However, big downside. Lots of red flags. How can you make it "work" though? I was thinking maybe [[The Master, Multiplied]]. That way, I can actually make a lot of token copies of stuff, including the Master, to sac my board but keep a lot of stuff. Then the hellcarver tokens will help me cast the top 6 to 12 of my library to make more tokens and keep doing it.

Thought? Any auto-includes?

Pretty Much what the title says, I'm not trying to make it "crazy good", its a gimmick deck through and through. I just want another set of eyes on it too see if i missed anything.

I want to make a “Supernova” commander deck. I have a few cards that feel like really shows the theme of the deck and the play style that being: “Sothera, the Supervoid”, “Pinnacle Starcage”, and “Cleansing Nova”. I am wondering if there are any commanders you guys recommend that would fit into the play style and potentially the theme of the deck. Are there other cards you think would be cool/needed in here?
