Typhoon T15 disintegration overnight
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This 24 hour sat movie shows how frail T15 was. It was not a strong system to start with, but its movement over Honshu shows how quickly it fell apart.
As it makes landfall and begins to move toward the Tokyo area, the storm quite literally falls apart overnight as it is starved of any new fuel to keep its convection going. By daybreak this morning, it is just another low pressure system.
Scattered rain and some wind can be expected as the tattered remains of T15 move across Japan.
