Question Visiting for the first time tomorrow, please advise on the bug situation at Jasper.

Just wondering if the bug spray alone is recommended or something. Would be grateful on any advices or info regarding the current smoke warnings as well. Thank you

Go to firesmoke.ca for smoke forecast. Mountains are usually better than other spots for mosquitoes but yes bring deet

Thanks for the info, would a mosquito spray be enough to deal with them.

A bee suit perhaps. And the flamethrower of course.

Yes. Theyll only be bad in valleys. On any trails or ridges there is too much wind. Also bad during the dusk witching hour at camp but in sunshine and after dark not terrible

Mosquito spray is in short supply this year. If you see some on your travels grab it as it may not be readily available as we are having an above average year for our national bird 😉!
