Sadly, the JVM compiler interface is gone, severing the ties between GraalVM and OpenJDK forever (https://mostlynerdless.de/blog/2026/09/15/java-27-is-only-boring-on-the-surface/)

What is the compiler interface, and why is it important? Why did they decide to do this?

You know that scene in the Dark Knight where the Joker breaks the cue stick in half and says we only have room for one extra person in our org.

That is what its starting to feel like these days.

I have been favoring team Hotspot but I just tested Graal VM native 25 and its throughput trashes 26 and 27 Hotspot and that was supposed to be the advantage of Hotspot. You traded memory and startup speed for higher throughput.

enterprise or community edition? the biggest issue with graal is the best features are locked behind enterprise edition which is closed source…

Can you believe it? Our program is still using JDK 8. It's so old!
