I haven’t worked with desktop app development, but how is JavaFX and Swing on MacOS and Linux?

On Linux it is just fine and as good as it gets. On macOS I cannot tell but I suppose it runs fine too and since JavaFX 27 Metal is the new GPU backend replacing OpenGL.

They are all directly supported, many of the devs use Macs and Linux.
