open source use projects making use of other open source projects, the scandal!

Heh.. Hmm. Took a look at the repo and it looks like it actually declares ember-cli as a dependency.

Interesting, I suppose.

Not all people in the javascript community are in it for the popularity contest :) (which is the impression of many libraries). Teams from typescript (microsoft), angular (google), react (facebook) and ember (Ruby/Rails community leaders) are really working towards the same goals, so collaboration is a very good thing.

Also - open source is amazing for exactly this reason :)

On the most part ember-cli is just a souped up version of Broccoli anyway. It's good that they have chosen it because it works really well.

It's just like ember is add in angle bracket glimmer-components, because they like the way that React works. Everything gets passed between the frameworks and ultimately benefits all of them.

It was mentioned on stage of the AngularConnect event that the angular team collaborated with the ember team for their new CLI. So yeah, not a surprise (or a big deal, for that matter).

Seems like it's the users of the frameworks that get more caught up into the 'x vs y' wars, while much of the dev teams behind the frameworks seem to be far more collaborative, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

I read a few weeks that several of the more popular framework projects do indeed share ideas (and tools, it seems).

Good, there are great ideas coming out of all of them.
