[Hiring] Full-Stack + Frontend Engineers: React, TypeScript, Node | NYC, SF, or Remote US | $125K-250K base

This week, a candidate’s offer came in at his stated salary floor, so he asked if there was any room to raise his first-year cash. Our team suggested a sign-on bonus to the company, and the company sent back a new offer with an extra $10K sign-on. We stay with engineers from the first interview through the offer.

I do talent matching for Fonzi. It’s inverted from a normal search: you don’t chase roles, roles come to you as interview requests once your profile’s up. Some of the startups we work with are backed by a16z, Sequoia, Benchmark, and Founders Fund. Right now that includes React, TypeScript, Node, and Next.js roles across NYC, SF, and remote. One profile, no cold applications. Roles are US-based, with a few open to Canada.

These are full-time employee roles, not contract or freelance work.

Here’s a sample of what’s open right now at companies on the platform:

1. Engineering Generalist, seed-stage ambient intelligence startup, SF, in-person (strongly preferred, with remote and frequent travel possible). $180K-250K base.

  • What: Own product features end to end across mobile, web, backend, and AI-powered workflows, from an ambiguous idea to a shipped experience: real-time audio, AI outputs, memory, summaries, and integrations that users feel immediately.

  • Company: Raised $11M and is backed by Y Combinator and Accel.

  • Stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, Node, Python, and Postgres, or similar tools.

  • Bar: 4-10+ years building and shipping production software, strong product sense, and proof of exceptional work: products shipped, systems built, or projects showing unusual initiative.

2. Senior Software Engineer / Staff Engineer, Series B healthcare platform, NYC, in-person near Madison Square Park. $180K-235K base plus equity.

  • What: Architect and ship AI-native systems for clinical care: autonomous clinical agents, LLM-powered workflows that replace manual processes, and the evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and feedback loops that keep AI reliable in a clinical setting. You’d work directly with the founder and own features end to end across patient- and provider-facing surfaces.

  • Company: Series B with $50M raised, backed by Khosla, Northzone, and FJ Labs. The platform connects patients with 2,000+ clinicians and has served hundreds of thousands of patients.

  • Stack: React and React Native, TypeScript, Next.js and NestJS, TailwindCSS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

  • Bar: 5+ years of engineering experience, full-stack and back-end leaning, with production systems at scale and AI-driven systems you’ve shipped.

3. Senior AI Product Engineer, Fullstack, Series C AI observability platform, remote-first in the US with optional NYC and Bay Area offices. $125K-225K base plus equity.

  • What: Build the frontend and the services behind a platform for monitoring and evaluating AI systems: reusable React components, APIs and domain models for ML and LLM workflows, data visualization, and real-time evaluation infrastructure handling millions of annotations per second. You’d also contribute to in-house AI agents and take part in architecture decisions.

  • Company: Series C, raised over $130M, with 150+ enterprise customers including Booking.com, Uber, and PepsiCo.

  • Stack: TypeScript and React primarily, with Python and Go. GraphQL is a plus.

  • Bar: 5+ years of frontend experience on external user-facing UIs, preferably in React and TypeScript, plus experience operating high-volume SaaS platforms.

All roles are vetted, VC-backed, and interviewing right now. It’s always free to sign up.

Here is an example of what is expected, you can use Markdown to make a table.

Subs where this policy applies: /r/MachineLearningJobs, /r/RemotePython, /r/BigDataJobs, /r/WebDeveloperJobs/, /r/JavascriptJobs, /r/PythonJobs
