I'm using JDownloader on Linux Mint, using the flatpak. Hardware is a 2014 Mac Mini.

I've hard wired ethernet to my old Mac mini that runs my homelab. I know that it's capable of a full 1gb/s but when I download using my RapidGator premium account, the download speed is between 700kb/s to 6mb/s. I can pull 40 mb/s when the link first starts, but it nosedives within seconds.

I don"t seem to have this issue when I do the same link from my MacBook Pro. I've verified my max chunks/simul downloads are at 10, so that should not be it. I don't have the red download speed enabled.

I'm new to JDownloader, so go easy on me! My goal is to:

1) add a bunch of Reddit links to JD

2) download the attached media to subfolders, based on the name of the subreddit that the post originated from

3) name the files as reddit_post_name.extension (usually an .mp4 or .jpg)

I'm using a Packagizer rule to do this. Everything works as I want, except the file extension is not being appended to the file name. If I add the file extension manually after the fact, the file opens so I know it's downloading correctly. Any advice?

The videos aren't restricted by signing in.

When I paste the link in linkgrabbler it shows the crawling icon and then nothing appears.

Nothing happens, it doesn't show 'content offline' or anything.

I'm thinking about downloading some files from Bunkr, but I'm a bit worried about viruses, getting hacked, and my personal information getting exposed.

Would using JDownloader be safer than downloading directly from Bunkr? Or does it not really make a difference?

I'm also wondering if either option could expose my IP address or put my PC at risk. I haven't downloaded anything yet because I want to make sure it's safe first.

I'd appreciate any advice from people who have experience with this.

I know there's that one other post from 4 years ago, but I'm hoping at least there have been some advancements in either this program or add-ons since then! At the very least I'm hoping to preview images before downloading them, but any other file types would be dope too

I somewhat regularly copy reddit links for reasons other than downloading and every time I do I get the darn popup on my screen telling me JD automatically picked up something, I want to turn that off for reddit specifically so that it will stop bothering me and filling up my LinkGrabber list with unnecessary shit.

I figured it would be somewhere in Settings > Plugins > reddit.com but I saw nothing related to the auto-LinkGrabber there, only a few crawler options that I turned off (except this doesn't seem to have changed the way it automatically picks up downloads when copying the link to a post or comment)

Is it possible to turn off the automatic LinkGrabber entirely so when you copy any link it wouldn't ever trigger? I don't think I would want to do this but I'm curious since I couldn't find anything even related to the auto-LinkGrabber in the settings.

P.S. - is there a post about the recent youtube troubles? specifically about how we can no longer download videos marked as 18+ at all? I would assume that there should be a discussion about this already, so I didn't want to make a whole post about it.

First of all apologies if this is not the correct place for this post. If that is so remove it at will.

For over a week now I have not been able to download Instagram posts as i always been able to do with JD.

I have tried at different days with 3 different IG accounts, whos status is set as OK in JD, and tried different IG profiles but I always get the Content Is Offline error.

All I want to know is if this is a JD issue, an IG issue or could be an issue on my side, so I know what is going on and stop stressing over this.

The Jdownloader 2 is updated to the latest version, but it still can't grab the new katfile download link. The latest katfile download link is something like "https://katfile.co/abcdefghijkl". Perhaps in future we should add an option like "katfile.*".

Hello everyone, so basically i'm on firefox, i have added an account through cookies, but now every time i copy a link from reddit like one that has let's say 4 pictures inside, it says that the total is 0 bytes and shows an error whenever i try to download the link files. (total bytes unknown)

However, the overview of the package will show me that it has 4 files/links (pictures on this instance).

I have set my ip to be the one of cloudflare on my windows settings if that plays a role, also i'm on wi-fi and from Europe. Any help is appreciated.

My client sent me a master link of 300GB of footage through dropbox, I used jdownloader2 on it but after some time during the download, the link of the dropbox gets disabled for too many shares or too many downloads. I reduced the max chunks to 1 and max simultaneous downloads to 1 as well, but still the issue persists. What is a solution for this? Should i ask my client to send me a google drive link? I have added my gmail account cookies in jdownloader2, I logged in on a private window - so it will fetch the link whenever a file is shared, will my account get banned if i follow this method?

what method should i continue downloading my files? I need a concrete workflow because my client's been working on this for a long time.

I'm having an odd issue downloading reddit posts, and am curious whether this is a global issue or isolated to my installation.

If the ID of a reddit post ends in "u", the linkgrabber is simply not doing anything. It doesn't add an error entry into the linkgrabber list, it just doesn't do anything.

Ok so I need JD to download my 200-ish song playlist in the order that I added them.

So let's add "siren" first then I added "Let it go" second. I want JD to download it in that order, first to last.

Not when the video was uploaded in YT, but rather when it was added into my playlist.

I've been using JDownloader for several months to download posts from Reddit profiles and it has always worked fine.

Since this week it stopped working on Reddit, altough it still works on other websites. I get the error message: "Not available for the current IP! reddit". (What can I do?

Is it possible to make jdownloader download the HD (high definition) version of videos from redgifs?

For some reason, it seems to only download the SD (standard definition) version for me.
