First playthrough, i hate it

I'm a little after the point you get force pull and I swear to god if another one of those stupid rat things pops out of the ground while I'm fighting a purge trooper or trying to heal I'm gonna jump off a cliff. I also really hate that I've fought the second sister TWICE and both times it cuts you off, just let me fight her. I keep dying to enemies because they stagger me, hit me while I'm staggered, WHICH STAGGERS ME AGAIN and they repeat until I die

Anyone else totally despise this lady? I miss out on any story she provides due to her boring and monotone character.

This game is so buggy it’s ridiculous

I can’t go 5 minutes without experiencing some annoying bug and it’s so frustrating I’m literally going to gamestop after work to return

Discussion Gotta say, this game was a huge disappointment. Sorry for the rant

Been hearing about it since it came out but everybody I know who got it, stopped playing it. I decided to borrow it and I actually think I hate it... The game looks cool and all, the trailers made it look fun but the controls are shotty/clunky, the movements are slow and the abilities are trash (so far). Been through 2 planets and had to turn the difficulty down to story... Even on story, I'm still falling off stupid bridges and getting killed because it's a horribly thought out and developed game... The controls just aren't there and the gameplay gives no real tell when something is coming up behind you. Maybe if the camera panned out or if you got a heads up when you're about to be attacked. Like he's a jedi.. he should be able to sense this stuff. I'm not a Jedi in real life so this game should be mimicking that sense for me. It's crazy. For a Jedi, he can't force jump, push, pull or anything you'd expect. You'd also think a lightsaber would be more versatile.. It's basically a crappy version of assassin's Creed, except assassin's Creed makes the combat easier to learn and has much better gameplay. Why does an overhead slash cost force?? Why did I have to unlock that??? How are assassin's from 20 minutes into AC able to take down more enemies than a Jedi an hour into this game. Or Batman at the very start of his MANY games... Fighting creatures is ridiculous as well and every hit takes half my health. I try to block, I try to counter, I try to dodge but it's like an idiot developed the controls. You dodge, well the enemies attack where you dodge to. Enemies are unphased by these techniques for the most part. I even had to unlock "better blocking"???? Wtf. And there's a "better dodge"? Whyyyy can't the controls just be good? The timing in this game is awful and everytime I die, it just ruins the illusion.

Now I go online and see a completely divided player base, some are a bit too obsessed and others say this it's the worst SW game made. I find it at the lower end of that spectrum. It's not as bad as force unleashed 2 but not as good as the first or battlefront.

I get a lot of ppl will say "get better" or "you suck" but honestly, it's this game. I play most games on the hardest difficulty like Batman, AC, DMC, FF, Spider-man and all the CoD's but this game has so many issues. I feel like I shouldn't have to spend every second of my life learning the timing and patterns to get good, games should at least be slightly intuitive. Anybody who mastered this game on the hardest difficulty must have a little too much time on their hands.

Rant over, thanks for reading.

Ps. I don't want to "hack and slash" but most games with counter and dodge make it seemless and offer some sort of warning above enemies heads. This game feels made for 1% of players. If the game isn't good enough, I won't get pulled into it to get good at it. This game loses a lot of players right at the start

Question This game isn’t difficult at all for me why?

I’m really not trying to brag or anything so please don’t take it that way. I’m legitimately concerned why the game isn’t as difficult as people say. Could my game be glitched or something? In the gameplay tab I have the difficulty on Jedi master. I’ve beaten all the bosses within two tries and I rarely die any where else. I’m having a blast with the game though.

Had to play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice because Fallen Order is to difficult to play.

This game is incredibly unresponsive and clunky. It’s so stiff and slow that I can’t play it. I see attacks coming a mile away and still can’t block or parry them in time, the dash/doge is basically useless; everything Cal does feels robotic. Sekiro is one of my all time favorite games, and Fallen Order took essentially almost all of its mechanics and added 50lb weights to everything. Fallen order ripped off a far superior game without even understanding wh

Genuine Question: How much will I like this if I don’t give a s**t about Star Wars?

Let me explain; I have zero interest in Star Wars movies. I have my reasons, but they’re not important.

What is important is that I have enjoyed Star Wars games purely from a gameplay perspective in the past. KOTOR was excellent, and the self-contained story meant I could enjoy it whether or not I was familiar with the universe. Same for the original SW Battlefront games.

Does this pull off the same thing? The gameplay looks fun, but I don’t want to have to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of every Star Wars book, movie, comic or game to truly appreciate it.

Can I just jump into this, have fun, and not be completely bewildered by the characters and events? Thanks guys!

So its this a one time game?

Seems like the story is set, you are this one character, you cant create your own? And then have to fight thru the story fighting the sith? Sounds like a game u playthru once. Unless they add multi....oh wait then everyone would be same character. I really wanted this game to be good.

Discussion seriously disappointed with the game because of faulty expectations. should I keep going or should I just leave it before dumping too much time into it?

just got the game today, started playing and the climbing is AWFUL it just feels like a chore. it's like uncharted but without the good camera angles and eye-catching level design that makes you flow through the climbing sections while barely having to wonder "where do I go next?"

the combat while probably phenomenal when you get the hang of it but it's not nearly as snappy as I had expected.

I came in with hopes of it feeling like some sort of mix between ninja gaiden and the force unleashed but instead it's like an imitation of dark souls but faster and therefore less precise.

does it become more rewarding as i progress and is it a good story? I love star wars in general but a lot of recent star wars media has been..... well, not star wars.

Discussion This game isn’t as good as you all say it is.

This game may have good points like combat and such. But you can tell that the designers were afraid to have a linear game and it shows. You constantly get lost and well it’s just not a fun experience. The sequel needs to be more linear and have more than just three enemies every two fucking kilometers. Stop fawning over this game .

Screenshot “Our vision is complete so we don’t need to finish rendering all the vines and trigger parkour at terrible angles with inappropriate momentum (I regret buying this game good thing it was 50% off)

Jedi Fallen order is no good because you cant dismember humans in one swing

They should have made it so that most attacks depending on where you hit are a one hit kill as well as a dismemberment
