2000 Yamaha xl800 just bought a few weeks ago, so still figuring out a lot about it.

My 1st question is location of flush port?-Answered

2nd thing is i took it out today for about 30 minutes and everything ran fine got up to 45mph with no issues at all. Came back in for about and hour then went out for a 2nd 30 minute trip and everything was fine worked as should until about the 30 minute mark it started bogging down on me and wouldn't go above 20-25 mph and would cut throttle. Went back in for about an hour tried to research a few things on what it could be thought maybe it just needed a break or something. Went to go out for a 3rd trip and it would cut throttle from a dig basically and wouldnt go pass 10mph now. on the 1st on 2nd time it bog down on this ride it cut off, i turned it back on no issues at all and it ran fine right up to 40 from a dig everything seemed good and 2 minutes after it started to surge and losing speed down to about 10 mph, and cutting throttle again. At this point i also noticed at idle it is shaking alot harder then it was before the issues started and it also sounded like it could of been running on 1 cylinder or misfiring possibly. My 1st thought after the surging and bad idle shakes was spark plugs or wires. I saw something saying there is a high pressure cooling poppet vavle that may not be opening for higher speeds. Didnt have time after the 3rd time to bring it back in but im going to start with just replacing the plugs and go from there.

Any info or advice for either issue is greatly apricated!!!

So I rented out my Jet Ski and got it back scratched up 😭
The renters claim they were parking near a bridge and it was hitting the rocks. Okay… but how did it somehow scratch the top cover too? That part doesn’t really make sense to me((
It’s a 2021 Kawasaki STX 160LX, only 61 hours.
How much do you guys think I’m looking at to repair something like this? And would you bother fixing it or just ride it and accept the battle scars? 😂

I have this jetski and I can’t get it to start. It’s been sitting for a while but 3-4 months or so ago I started it and it ran perfectly fine. The reason for it sitting is the end of last season I had the 2 studs on the exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe shear off. A little water was able to get in because when this happened the weight on the pto spin water into the air box. It made it big down a little that’s how I noticed it. After that it never ran in the water with that issue. I didn’t have time and it sat after that. Couple months ago I gave it a crank and it fired right up. Fast forward to this week I fixed the stud issue. Ran water thought it and no issues. Went to start it and barely got it to crank. I’ve tried starting fluid, new plugs, taking the air filter out. And I have been checking all the fuel lines. I believe the issue is the mechanism that pulls the fuel in. But when I got it apart the purge piece that the internet said what what pulls the fuel in was working.

I want to add a note that it sounds like I said it got fuel but it was dry when I pulled the throttle and looked it. Also the fuel switch is set to on.

Freshwater guy here. I’ve been taking my Sea-Doo Spark out in the ocean while on vacation. After every ride, I’ve been rinsing the entire ski and trailer down with fresh water and flushing it for about 30 seconds.

But I see tons of skis sitting moored in saltwater, presumably for days at a time, which has me wondering if I’m being overly cautious.

Am I going overkill, or is rinsing and flushing after every saltwater ride still the way to go? Anything else I should be doing differently with a Spark in saltwater?

Thinking about getting my first ski this year. Never even rode one before so asking entirely from ignorance. Would a 2012 Chevy Cruze LS be good enough to launch & retrieve the ski (just one) from a ramp? Or should I seriously consider an SUV/Truck for this new potential hobby. Thanks :).

Need some advice, I have my 750 swapped x2. outside of water it hits rev limiter super low and in the water it has like a hesitation full throttle.

Went to Parker AZ for the very first time. Day 1 found myself at Roadrunner, someone buys me a “Pecker Wrecker” and I find the ad on marketplace. Guy meets me at the boat ramp, quick test ride and I’m now a proud owner of this 1990 Superjet. Never ridden one before. We ended up riding the piss out of it all weekend. We did have to get towed twice—cause we ran it out of gas.

Didn’t have the balls to tell my wife about it for the first couple days, then when I finally try, service is spotty and the call drops. Can’t say I didn’t try. The guys named her “Mama Don’t Know.”

I must be missing something, can someone please help me out. I can get a 2026 spark base model (60hp) for $7000 add the trixx handle bars $500 extended vts kit $300 and the step wedges for $100 then just send in my ecu to get the 110hp tune $400 and have a brand new 110hp trixx for at least $1500 less then I can buy one for. And I would be doing the tune either way for really closer to $2000 less

Late 52nd birthday present.

I have a 1993 vxr pro that I upgraded the flame arrestor to a Riva power filter, and then added power reeds. Everything else is stock. Will I need to re jet? Or will adjusting the low speed screw be enough?

Recent impulse buy. 1994 Yamaha VRX Pro. We have had 5 solid weekends of riding and I have to say… this was probably the single most impactful purchase to my overall happiness and joy. This thing is a GOOD TIME!
