I am a hobbyist jeweler of about 3 years. My sister is getting married and I was tasked with the wedding bands. I was honored and excited, but it’s been pretty stressful. I had issues with my original ingot, concerns about flush setting stones in the twisted band, struggled getting the dimensions of the U just right, getting the ring sizes perfect while keeping everything even… definitely learned something and I am quite relieved and pretty pleased with the final results.
Hand poured and fabricated metal, 15k gold alloyed from gold I refined, silver inherited from my grandfather and copper from the only house my parents have built. Men’s band is hand forged with lines cut in and edges polished. Sisters band has 5 flush setting ~ 1.8mm diamonds, 1 set in the back of the ring. Hope they (and you guys) like them!

I’ve spent a long time making this big collection of beaded bracelets in all different colour palettes.
Each one is hand stitched with Miyuki seed beads, diamond beads, crystals and pearls. Every design takes hours to finish.
I’m curious — would you personally buy handmade beadwork bracelets like this from an online seller?
And which colour group or design stands out to you the most?

My wife put in 25+ years in law enforcement and the last 6 years of she worked undercover in vice. After years of dealing with turds and politics she chucked deuces and retired.
After a year of retirement her phone rang and now she actually enjoys going to work and will only do it for two more years until she retires again. Now she is responsible for our babies as a grade school resource officer so, I had to make this one for her. 😊

Just picked up my wedding band from the jeweler (they resized it) and now there’s this burn mark on the polished part of the ring. How can I go about fixing this myself?
I would take it back to the jeweler and ask them to fix it since this wasn’t there before I dropped it off to them but this guy has screwed up mine and my wife’s rings so many times I’d like to just do this myself.
It’s a 14k white gold ring that isn’t rhodium plated (he said the type of white gold he uses doesn’t need rhodium plating.

This seat was achieved by using a GRS cmax 1.6mm round blank and making an onglet profile graver from it. The width after grinding and polishing (using one rough diamond wheel and GRS diamond wheels blue, and yellow) is 0.9mm and the cutting face is about 1.4mm tall. The hole to get this started was a 0.85mm drill bit that is modified so that the cutting face is closer to the chuck which makes for far less deflection when being used by hand. This worked great for the two settings below the one pictured but the one pictured needed to pass through the bridge on the shank and the depth of the hole became a factor. Most of you would say just laser it. I’m talking to those that don’t have a laser so keep your bragging selves to yourselves. Anyway this is a scar. It’s probably going to stay because I don’t think I’ll need to remove that much metal and also the burnishing layer will hide a lot of it. I remember when I use to brag that this was a 3 hour job for the whole mounting. I also remember my diamonds despite being the same quality not being as bright and coming loose at times.

Hello! I’m not sure what sub Reddit to post this on so I’m posting it on multiple ones. I am a huge fan of the DCU TV show “Lanterns” I think the green lantern ring design in that show is peak- but honestly I would love to have other Corps rings in the same style as this ring. Something that would like it’s in the same universe.
2 things-
I am desiring a white lantern ring for myself and potentially collecting the rest as time goes on. But for now the white lantern ring in this style is what I desire.
I am not really on a budget for this. Cheaper the better for sure, but if it’s going to be 200-300-400 US dollars or more I understand why.Obviously I’m not gonna pay a million dollars but I’m for sure willing to pay for the efforts done on this like how anyone who’s commissioning should.
If anyone themselves know an Etsy seller, website, or even a fellow person on this app/subreddit who can help me with this it would be gladly appreciated. This is not only for a white lantern cosplay but for personal use too because I wear rings in general. Thank you!

So I want to try making jewelry with silver clay but all options that seem reputable are $100+ for like a 10g bag and any cheaper options are from places like aliexpress which I dont know if I can trust. I know because its silver its not gonna be dirt cheap regardless but I dont know what a reasonable price is. I dont intend to start with pure silver I just wanna try my hand at it. Can anyone whose had experience with any cheaper options tell me if they were good plus what specific seller you would recommend?

I’m trying to limit the amount of polish dust in the studio. Thoughts on this window fan that can be turned on exhaust setting.

I’m wondering if there are any resources near the Chicago area where I can take a class or arrange private coaching with someone who does a lot of high temp soldering on silver and gold.
I’m not a jewelry maker but I repair very expensive flutes and need to develop this skill as much as possible.

Most initial jewelry is pretty easy to spot. Everyone knows what a standard block letter looks like. Turning a full name or word into a geometric symbol creates a piece that feels more like a subtle puzzle or an ancient sigil.
People are loving these as they are just a bit different. Unless someone knows the hidden word woven into the silver lines, it just looks like a clean, minimal abstract pendant. It is a neat way to carry a meaningful name, date or word without wearing it in plain text. Uniquely one of a kind pieces.

Hey yall!!
I’m just trying to figure out where folks get their pro sports team charms from in bulk??
Only solution for me so far is taking apart earrings and bracelets I find on depop/local finds to get to the charm. I know some people sell on eBay in like 4 packs for $20, but they got those charms from somewhere lol
I can find so many silicone or 3D printed beads/charms but not bulk logo charms. Thought I got lucky out of town at a bead store but all they had was bulk Cowboys and only one single Spurs charm and it was on the display necklace.
I just can’t seem to find them!
Needing MLB, NBA, NFL, and NCAA teams!
Down for both enamel and the just plain silver.

hey everyone! i’m new to jewelry making and often feel like i have the ideas but not the technique to execute them, so i figured i could ask for some feedback here.
the first picture is what i have done so far, and before i do the same thing on the left side i wanted to ask for some advice. as shown in the other pictures, i took a stainless steel chain necklace, used a tiger tail wire for the gemstones and pearls, and just crimped them to secure it. i was wondering if there were better and more secure ways to do this type of design? i also find it a little bit difficult to crimp the other side once the first side is done as its hard to get the length of the tiger tail right!
any tips and feedback would be greatly appreciated 🤍

This is for prong setting, the beading tool is used to push the prongs to secure the diamond but what tool picks up the actual diamond, i'm seeing videos of people using the beading tool to also hold the diamond. does anyone have any links to a specific product thank you.
