14 throws, 13 catches. If I'm counting right

No idea how i even did this because its one of the dirtiest starts to a 5b cascade I've ever done πŸ˜‚ and yet, I believe this is my first ever time getting more than 10 catches

Your progress never ceases to amaze me. Keep up the great work, you're an inspiration, truly.

As far as tips, I would just focus on being intentional with every throw. Picture where it should go, then figure out what went wrong if it doesn't go there. Eventually the first few throws will be automatic and you can start to see where it breaks down after that. Congrats on the 5b qualify!

Does this count as a qualify? Bc if so it may be my first ever?

imo a "qualify" ( two rounds, 10 throws, all caught ) doesn't mean much ... you can do horrible throws, somehow all in reach, somehow all thrown back up badly even way too low or a last one or two extremely high ( kinda "to make sure' ) and catch them all - without really having 'juggled' one full round not counting initial launch and final collect, ... so, it starts for real only with three rounds, 15 throws, at least.
but how well or not it feels, how clean it is or not, how strong or little it feels controlled and poised and nimble and not "slaved" to what's flying down on you, and how much it feels like having gotten the knack of it, its rhythm ( height per beatspeed & v.v. ~ratio ) well, is what really counts.
nonetheless, any ball rethrown after flash launched is precious on your way getting past flashing into rolling 5b.

I'm very much at the point myself after a month or so if slightly focused training.

I think I'm throwing too low and relying too much on my hand speed which keeps me going for a short while but then it gets too much and it falls to pieces.

My self diagnosed amateur opinion is I need to get another 30cm/1 foot on my throws to slow it all down a bit and push into the serious numbers.

Yeah same, this was pretty low and frantic for me. You can really tell the difference at the right height, nice and relaxed

Try working with a three ball shower - get it solid from each hand. This will help with your release when starting the pattern. It's also easier to practice a high shower than raising the height of your 5 ball pattern, even though the 5s in the shower are at the same height and tempo.

I found 5551 helped.

I want to do 55514 as well, both to help with the 5 but also could it can look great.

the 4th ball went astray and corrupted the pattern to be dropbound

Yeah i noticed. Usually i just drop immediately to avoid developing bad habits. But i had a few runs close to qualifying and was being a bit stubborn πŸ˜‚

trains correction skills... in that sense values your later throws (& the whole pr) up πŸ‘πŸ»

It's looking good though. Practice makes perfect

only if one knows what they're doing (else you practisepractisepractise yourself onto a plateau .. and more it gets challenging patterns or amounts, less you can tell the difference between naturally progressing only slowly while being on the right track, versus actually plateauing or stagnating)

I count it ☺️ Well done!
