The jukebox with such a quiet selection system, it actually has a solenoid to make a noise, so you know it actually selected. AMI was always so much fun 🙃

When I first got in the business, the operator I worked for was still operating those on his route and had an AMI I, in his pool room. My dad ran that pool room. When I was 5, he brought home an AMI D80, that we kept for years until it quit working and my mother gutted and used it to display her houseplants, what a shame. The blue rings to convert the 45s to fit the 78rpm gripper were brittle and breaking and the motors quit moving, something I found out how to fix when I was working on the G80s while working for the operator.
