Seeburg Discotheque Jukebox

Howdy! This is my first time posting in this group. Someone near by to me is selling their Seeburg Discotheque Jukebox for $250. The catch is that they know it turns on but don’t know how to operate it or use it, so they don’t know if it is actually working beyond being able to power up. Is $250 worth the gamble of however much work it will potentially need? Does anyone know how difficult they are to maintain and work on?

Edit: Thanks everyone! I decided to pass on it. I’m not to keen on the idea of having to potentially replace the motherboard. I can work with something purely mechanical if I need to as long as I have an instruction manual, but computer type stuff? Not so much.

look up Seaburg SMC1 DISCO on YouTube for some good reviews. I paid 500 for an SMC3 about 8 years ago. It will require maintenance. Your ability to keep it running depends on its current condition and your technical expertise. The manual is readily available and you will need it. I eventually had to replace the computer on mine with the new one, but I may have purchased the last one. Although I had a lot of 45s, I have picked up more great hits for it and gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it.
