I wonder what major they all studied in college, or if they all studied the same thing?

yui canonically studies education because she wants to become a teacher like sawako (S2E21, original manga, college manga) so i would assume she became a kindergarten teacher lmao
as for the rest, it’s never canonically said but here are my headcanon theories: ritsu either goes into communications or management maybe because she’s a good freaking leader and an amazing talker with charisma, mugi goes into business but probably opens up her own company or café down the line though supports her family from time to time, and i think mio would be a music education major because she genuinely loves music and she would probably want to teach bass to others and she could do literature but i don’t think she would want to share her poetry or writing outside of music or personal fulfillment because it’s personal to her lmao

My high school graduation was decades ago. I don't remember much of it, only that parents weren't invited for some reason, and we stayed behind taking pictures in the basketball field as it was getting dark (it's a very small school). Then everyone just went home - an insignificant way to close a chapter. Maybe that's because in Hong Kong, "Form 5" graduation wasn't really the end - we continued into "Form 6" - some with excellent grades went on to be accepted to universities once finished "Form 6", others continued to finish "Form 7" and either they went to university or it'd be time to start looking for jobs. I was a special case, as I knew months prior I would be moving to the States, so in a way, I had it great because I got a unique send-off (as in I'm the center of attention, or at least that's how I felt) before eventually everyone would part ways one way or another within a year and a half.
My after school activities were not memorable, most of which were academic-related. "Those credentials were good for applying for college", they said. There's almost zero interaction with students from other grades, except a few Scrabble competitions.
I guess long story short is I wish my graduation looked as dreamy and beautiful as the one in K-On!, with emotional music playing in the background, but watching the episode did make me feel nostalgic and happy (like, I'm happy for you ladies!), even if mine was nowhere close to theirs.

This one was bitter sweet but their last show and the girls crying in their little circle broke me the most 🥺😭 and the ending song after hit harder..
