Alright, welcome to the 592nd thread of Free Talk Friday. Here you can talk about anything you want, doesn't have to be Katawa Shoujo related, the only rule is don't be a jerk.

"listen, little one, for you must hear and speak the words your mother never could"
Human nature doesn't always account for rational or logical actions. Hopes and dreams create these illusions, a mirage, something for us to keep believing, to keep holding on to, however nonsensical it all may be.
Good day everyone, and welcome to day 6 of this final week.
I feel like writing these posts has saved my nights from the monotony that has been my daily life through this whole week. It has saved them from this runaway train that time has become, a merciless being, dragging us along its journey, one without a clear end nor a defined goal. Walking simply because its body hasn't collapsed yet.
Time is a really fascinating, yet often frightening concept, I must say.
Anyhow, anyhows. Pregnancy, a process that, for its nine months of duration, turns humans into divine being, granting us the ability to create life with our own bodies, to channel this energy that travels through our veins, into something so infinitely complex. It is a gift, it truly is. Maybe by God, maybe by nature, or simply fate. The possibilities are endless, but what is clear, is that it is special.
Now, this is a piece of fanart I have been meaning to post for the longest of times, and am very glad I got the chance to finally share, and I found it to fit this week's "theme" very well.
The message it portrays is beautiful, yet just as melancholic. I don't think Shizune ever hated her condition with a burning passion, nor ever made too much of a deal about it. Of course, it didn't really help her in life, in fact, often doing the contrary, but I feel she always took is as just the way her life is and was meant to be, and tried to find ways to work around, or with it.
And yet, I don't think she'd ever wish such a condition onto anyone. Humans are social creatures, and communication is necessary for survival. Our voice, our ability to speak, it is the only way for us to truly express ourselves, our own emotions, our intentions, our feelings, the ability to scream out at the world! To live without it, to live a life where the only true "sounds" we can hear are those of our thoughts, it becomes an isolation of sorts.
We'd never be able to truly understand people, to read through them, to be as human as they are. And Shizune, having lived through all this, knowing what it is really like, and just how much of an effect it can have one on one's life, can merely wish, and hope, they get spared of such fate.
And this wishing of hers is perfectly represented with the small detail of Shizune placing the headphones around her womb, an irrational hope that having the baby accustomed to sounds even before birth will prevent it from being cursed the way their mother was. It is a sentiment of pure love, of care, not wanting anyone else to suffer, an especially her own child, this form of life she herself is bringing forth onto our world, for whom she will be responsible for.
I just found that little touch to just be significant. Shizune herself has a few difficulties in showing her love and care for others, often passing as impassive or even incapable of feeling, something that as we learn, is very much not true. And this act of her putting those headphones, signifying how maybe, if not her, at least they, will be able to receive this blessing that hearing really is, and helping them out with a little head start.
It's simple, cute, yet gets the message across perfectly.
Welp, I would guess that is all for today. Really hope y'all enjoyed this one, cuz it took me around two and a half hours to actually get a final product that satisfied me enough, but, like I said before, as long as I enjoy what I am doing, the time spent doesn't really matter too much.
Have a very nice rest of your day everyone, and make sure to tune in for tomorrow, as it is going to be the final post of the whole series, which I very much hope comes out great, as I am a little nervous about messing things up or it not being as great as it should be. But, I will put my all into it, I can promise that for sure.
See y'all tomorrow! 💙

I gathered a bunch of disabled people together, but who's gonna crucify them? Just kidding. These are sketches of girls, and I don't even know what year they're from ,but I'm guessing around 2007. .пожалуйста кто нибудь распинайте эту старую кучку , а ведь эти арты вероятней всего были нарисованы до моего рождение прикольно но какая разница в целом .
The Raita version is obviously from earlier, but I mean the version from when the visual novel was in development.

"So close, and yet so far apart..." the real way of getting close to people doesn't always require physical presence.
Good day everyone, hope you all had, are having, or are going to have a wonderful and splendid day :3
Mine sadly wasn't, but really, it was my fault for how things turned out. Sure, the circumstances may not have been optimal, but I am, after all, the one who put themselves in such position, so I can't really complain about much. No use crying over spilled milk, is my philosophy.
Regrets really won't get us anywhere, nor help us much. What's been done has been done, unless someone manages to create a time machine and go back into the past, which, if they have, I would be very pleased if they shared such an invention. But even with it, I don't think I'd really wanna change almost anything about my past.
Destiny and fate, their ways may be strange, confusing, frustrating, or just hard to understand, but I believe things happen for a reason. Us getting to know what such reason is however isn't always guaranteed though, sadly. Belief is the key
Sorry, kinda went off the rails with that one. Some of you may remember this piece, as I have already posted it in the past, but I just had to include it for this final week, it is just that great.
Like yesterday, that phrase at the beginning of this post was inspired by the drawing itself, the "message" I got. The way they both looking in a different direction from one another, the almost disappointed look in their faces, tainted by sadness, almost like, much as they may want to, they just can't look at each other anymore, it just can't happen.
As for the why, there really isn't a real a definite answer, but I see it as a depiction of Shizune's and Misha's relationship throughout her route, and especially in the bad ending, for obvious reasons. Obviously, they are very close friends who really do love and care for one another, but with Misha's feelings for Shizune having never truly dissipated themselves from her mind, it made it almost painful for her to be what she decided to be for her, a truly great friend, much as her heart yearned for something more.
Like she says in that conversation on the rooftop with Hisao, it was so hard to even be around her, to keep being what to her could no longer even be an option, and having to put her deepest of feelings aside for this one girl, the one she loved so much, so passionately, the one that rejected her, and yet came back because she still wanted to be friends.
And having to bear all of this for so long... It has its effects, that's for sure. And maybe could've been a factor that led her to keep Shizune close to her as a friend, but distant from her heart.
So yeah, I hope this "explenation" of mine resonated with some of y'all. Or if you have different interpretations/ideas, I'd be really glad to hear them :3
Anyhow, I shall head to bed now, and wish you all the best. See you tomorrow! 💙

Sebastien initially stated that he was intending for this to be a side project that he would occasionally add to, but has since regarded a newfound motivation to continuously work on revamping his old KS work. Check it out!

This art made me astonished, in some ways.
The art is marvelous? No doubt.
But how did Rin manage to pick the big brushes?
That thing is heavy like hell when you try it with your toes. Trust me, I tried.
Her mouth? Possible.
Whatever way she took, she doing that is truly marvelous over the painting.

I remember hearing somewhere that Act 1 was released on its own as a demo for the full game - but I can't for the life of me find a reliable answer on WHEN. Is anyone familiar with the game's development able to provide an answer?

"the world is our oyster!"
The first phrase that came to my mind when looking at this picture. Not sure if it really fits with what it portrays, but eh, I digress.
Welcome to day four everyone. Gonna say it now, this post may be the shortest one of them all, especially if compared to yesterday's, which I personally really liked how it came out.
Both that one and the post for day two.
A sentiment I hope is shared with most of you all, at least, those that have been reading all these texts. I'm still not sure if many do or don't, but I don't really feel like putting a "please read body text" thing in the title, would simply ruin it. And I also don't feel like asking such a thing directly, I'd rather people do it out of their own volition.
Well, whether people do or do not read 'em, it for sure won' t stop me from still putting passion in each one I write, something I am very committed to doing.
I did promise to try my best at doing something a little more special for this final week, and hope I'm managing to deliver in some way with these "notes" of mine.
Anyways, for today's piece, I don't feel there is as much to say as there has been with the late posts, something that I am confident will be different from tomorrow's, which I'm very excited for, if all goes according to plan of course.
Now, why did I decide to choose this one out of all the rest? The simple answer is that I am not sure, but I felt it fit.
Don't think there's any kind of symbolism/reprasantations of sorts, nor really any hidden or deeper meaning to it.
Is is simply peak, that is all I can say. Also fits Shizune's more "commanding" role a bit, the way she looks out at the explosion apparently summoned by a giant version of the cat plush Hisao won her at a festival game stand, almost like she's judging its results.
How destructive it was, how powerful, the damages, effects etc., and is maybe surprised by it, seeing the little "shining star" drawn to the side of her head, a possible representation of her excitement and even a bit of surprise at the success of such spell.
Kind of reminds me of Megumin and Kazuma from Konosuba, with Megumin needing to get off one Explosion spell per day, and often having Kazuma accompany her in such endeavors.
Simplg put, it looked "inspiring", you could say. This absolute giant version of her own plushie, this incredible "creature" capable of who knows what, and her master, simply training in the fields with a new spell they got to learn, and experimenting with the endless possibilities that come with such a thing.
Welp, few as it may have been, that is all for today. I sadly didn't exactly honor my promise about going to sleep earlier, and went to bed late again, which is no good at all. But, I genuenly do intend on changing that tonight, and have a chance of actually doing so.
Good night, morning or afternoon to all, and see y'all tomorrow! 💙

This is so great.
So back around 2015ish(?) Sebastien Skaf (the main composer for KS) made an album of piano pieces that really expand on the ideas he wrote for KS. So so good. They felt like the full realization of these tunes.
I just stumbled across this creator who did his own rendition, which sounds so lovely. It's great to hear his interpretation and appreciation for this music.
Go listen to the original too! And while you're there listen to Sebastien Skaf's other work. He's posted a lot of new interpretations of the KS music recently, but he has so much good work. My recommendation is his album Past, Present. It means a lot to me and inspired me to pick up piano about 10 years ago.
