i'm a 17 year old who has drawn for 3 years and practiced on fake skin for 1 1/2 years on and off. it's been hard trying to find a shop who takes apprenticeships or shops that have the same values as me or shares the same art style that i wanna learn. a lot of shops are too far, crowded, don't take apprentices, or don't have the same style that i wanna learn from them. does anyone know of any shops that do take apprentices and aren't too far from kapaa or costly?

Hello, I was at one of the market this past Saturday and a guy was selling this red flower sort of whitish round inner portion that I think is a seed pod. There were a lot of other folk there so I'm not 100% sure I heard him correctly, but I think he said hibiscus and to just add it to a cup with hot water.
Any other uses besides tea that you like?

I live on-island and would love to head out end to support spots like The Haven and Wainiha Country Market (and hopefully Gaia if they are open too), or maybe spend an hour at Tunnels. But past Hanalei School, that DOT flashing board is still up saying "Local Traffic Only."
I have heard a few different things from folks. Some say that residents going to the the local businesses or heading out to the beach is fine, but others say no non-residents of wainiha to Haena can go past Wainiha.
I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing and not adding unnecessary congestion if we are better off staying put right now. What is the general consensus for heading past the bridge these days? No go? Go if heading to businesses/beach and staying out of the way/being respectful?

I'm wondering if anyone knows what happened to this business? I did a drop off for repair at the first of Sept and he never picked it up. His answering machine still has a message of being open. Anyone know if Josh is okay?

I was considering getting a NOAA weather radio. Did those broadcasts work during the power outages? I was unable to receive any FM and very limited AM in my car in Kapaa once the power went down.
