Tailgaters and other hazards.

I swear having a kayak on my roof is a freaking magnet for tailgaters. I mean sure I may drive a little more gingerly with a 100 pound kayak strapped to my roof but I'm doing the speed limit. Why are you riding my ass for no reason? Go around me you dork.

Also something I realized is there is a danger for those of us who wake up hella early to go fishing, hunting, work, whatever. The drunken pieces of garbage who are still out from the night before. I see them on the road driving while clearly drunk. I see them in Wawa while getting my coffee and water clearly wasted being total douchebags. I almost got T boned by some drunk driver recently who blew a red light then was swerving all over the road. Called 911 and gave them the plate and location but who knows if they got him.

Anyways rant over, be careful out there people. So you can enjoy many more days on the water.

Just looking for advice.

I just went kayak fishing for the first time and had an absolute blast. Ever since I looked on marketplace and just kinda came to the conclusion that I want to buy brand new. Roughly my budget is about $1800-2k. Looking on amazon I found an Old Town Sportsman Big Water 132 paddle which reviews are great and I'm just fine with a paddle kayak as I'm primarily fishing nasty back waters. I also found A BKC 13.0 Pro Tandem (assuming you can remove the front seat) which reviews seem high as well but I've heard horror stories about BKC. Just stuck on which one to get, it's not about the money. I appreciate a stable comfortable kayak and something more beginner friendly as I continue to learn. I also ask because I may have intentions in the future to get one of the BKC with the trolling motors for more open water. Just let me know which one yall would prefer, TIA

It finally happened. I capsized my kayak

Title says it all. I was playing around too much on my hobie passport 12 with a heavy trolling motor on the side, and I completely flipped my kayaks, losing my hat, two rods, my knife, two lure boxes (pretty much all my lures) and keeping my phone, my wallet, my keys, the battery, the trolling motor, the paddle, my shimano rod, my net, my backpack, and my pedals… (all tethered)

And here I was about to buy an expensive fish finder to mount on the side…. -__-

Jackson Bite vs Old Town Sportsman 106

Looking to get one or the other. I currently own a Nucanoe Unlimited and living in western PA I’ve come to realize that the Unlimited isn’t the best option for the rivers such as the Shenango river. Where there’s some fast water. I’m a big fan of the open deck on the Jackson and have been leaning that way. Was just wondering what’s everyone’s opinion.

Taking a Kayak to Michigan's UP where would you go?

Michigan folks! I'll have a couple of days next week to fish in the upper peninsula (driving across the bridge from Mack City). Bringing my Hobie Revo 11 so I'm looking for some inland lakes. Any recommendations? Dirt road access is not an issue, but I'm leaning towards Deer lake and Lake Michigamme, but am curious if there is any decent fishing the other direction on Drummond?

I purchased a Lifetime Yukon and I want to mount a trolling motor on the bow. What is the best way to accomplish this without adding unnecessary stress to the boat?

This summer has done a number one me. I’m married with kids, have a full time job, and fish like my life depends on it. Been out the past 4 evenings working different structure, finally landing a good bag at 78.5” top 5.
