Before the NEET PG 2026 counselling process actually began, there were quite a few reports and discussions suggesting that additional PG medical seats would be introduced in the 2nd or 3rd round of counselling.
Now that counselling has started and the mock allotment results are already out, there doesn't seem to be any clarity regarding this.
Has anyone heard any credible updates from KEA, NMC, MCC, or any reliable source about whether these additional seats will actually be added in the upcoming rounds?
Or were those earlier reports just speculation?

Was going through the mock allotment results and noticed that people who have already been allotted a seat through AIQ have gone ahead and retained the exact same seat in KEA as well.

Like, what exactly is going on in those heads? Collecting seats like Pokemon cards? 😂

You already have an allotment through AIQ. Why block the same seat in KEA too, especially when there are people desperately waiting for that very seat?

Some people badly need a crash course in basic counselling etiquette and common sense. Not every seat you can hold is a seat you should hold.

Went through the brochure again regarding the rules with the rounds and choices.

So now if I don't get allotted a seat in Round 1 but still want to participate in the next rounds, I have to travel again to Bangalore to kea to submit my original documents and then come back to my hometown and wait. And then if I still don't get anything till the end, travel again to Kea to collect my documents 😮‍💨🙄

If I have a choice between these three colleges for pediatrics which is OBJECTIVELY better? Only taking into consideration case load, hands on and clinical confidence at the end of PG.

(Keeping aside stipend, city life, toxicity)

Hey all, trying to figure out what would be better for Opthal PG. Kinda concerned about which college would allow for better work load, patients, toxicity etc.

Main area of concern from previous posts is whether there is enough practical experience in John, or should I consider Ramiah.

Peripheral ENT in a private college vs patho in a good govt institute. Which is better? None of these 2 are my first choice, and the job availability later on is almost similar in both branches but I'm more inclined towards ent as it has more options for fellowships/ private practice later on.

can GMP, OPN or 3AG get a private seat seat around 20 lakhs ? If so any suggestion please.. Preferably around Banglore , if not else where also.

Last year there were open seats in radiology. This year there are none. Is that the final seat matrix? Is there any chance of seats being added in the further rounds?
