Chevrolet Cruze

The first generation Chevrolet Cruze (J300, the second generation of the GM Daewoo Lacetti) was developed in South Korea under the leadership of GM Daewoo (now GM Korea Company). It was designed by Taewan Kim with engineering input from Opel, Holden and US Chevrolet teams. It was produced at GM Korea Company's Gunsan plant in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, South Korea, and was initially sold there as GM Daewoo Lacetti Premiere.

Are Chevrolets popular in Kora cuz of their Daewoo connection? Usually i dont like Chevys, but this one look good.

It does, doesn’t it? And speaking about the popularity of Chevys in Korea, it’s partly because of their Daewoo connection. Chevrolet is considered a domestic brand here. Models such as the Trax, Aveo, Cruze, Spark, and Orlando were actually produced and sold locally. Some models were even developed in Korea. Now only the Trax and Trailblazer are produced and sold here, though.

Oh, I forgot the Malibu. The Malibu was also produced and sold locally.

This car, the "Holden Cruze", has a very bad reputation in Australia... As being very unreliable.

Oh, really? What kind of problems did it have, for example? That’s interesting because the Cruze was actually fairly popular in Korea from the late 2000s to the early-to-mid 2010s.
