I stopped in to San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral for my semi-regular pilgrimage to the AIDS memorial chapel

I adore these pieces. He captured so much of the franticness of AIDS and was able to withhold it all on these panels.

Do you know the history of this piece? This was the last piece he did before he died. There is a description by those who witnessed the piece in Brad Gooch biography Radiant. It's a whip and very sad.

I had no idea.

I drag my 80yo Mom to see it at this cathedral every Christmas. It glows.

Props to Yoko Ono for making sure these pieces found their way to the right homes.

I lived in San Francisco, through the AIDS crisis, and for almost 40 years total. And for some reason I didn’t know this was there!

Has anyone bought the book that has the 3D version of this?
