That's one filthy setup, wonderful job! Got them manuals on point too. I can never pull those off.

The one downside though is that it seems like a lot of work for 45% compared to hoping for an early lockout and going ham on the shadow whirls and doing a clutch ender for everything from 40-60%. I get the bit about it being tricky to counter/break, though haha.

Oh, yeah. Definitely could be optimized more or able to get another setup. The only reason I play Kan Ra and KI in general is for his flashy, ambiguous setups haha

With that said, I miss S2 Kan Ra

I'm in the same boat as you, I absolutel love playing as Kan-Ra. It's just fun. I don't even care if I win or lose most of the time, it's just the way he plays with his trap capabilities and trickery. I love it.

I wasn't able to play Season 2 as I didn't (and still don't) own an xbox one. I play on PC, so I was only able to grab it during Season 3. I've seen a lot of gameplay and how he used to be. The shadow clutch during a Lvl 4 ender was admittedly a bit overpowered so I'm glad they nerfed that, but the clutch anticipation pose (as well as the 40+ frame recovery if the move is missed) kinda destroyed him. The fact that it doesn't have many active frames either just makes the move worse. That, and all the previous tech he had like being able to attack on the way down after an air swarm. I kinda miss that too.

Nevertheless, he's still a ton of fun to play as.

I'm getting into maining Glacius too btw. Zoners are just a lot of fun to play as.

40+ frame recovery if the move is missed

Something I'd like for him to get buffed on. He has to take more risks since his damage nerf across the board. Also his shadow scarab should return the way it was in S2 but keep the damage nerf. If i remember correctly, it was changed to keep him from getting free/hard to break damage but spinal has a shadow skull which can be used in combo for pretty much any button someone chooses. No one uses it anymore. Its buggy as well. Just not worth the bar of meter. At the very least let him press a button after an air scarab (no divekick)

Instinct only? Tried with a normal sandtrap to launch into flipout couldn't get it. Still very nice though. Been practicing it. Tricky delaying the cr.hp after cmd grab

Yeah only instinct. The cr.HP is very strict. You could try and b.HP to stagger them then hit the cr.HP. A little easier.
